A great french cusine!

One of our friend recommended this place. The waitress was very kind, she explained every food they offer. Like in other French restaurants the tables are quite small, so its a very cute place. We drink a bottle of wine (wine of the month) for 19 Eur. Foie gras canard (entry) 11,9 Eur, Coeur (steak... read more

What an amazing little restaurant - we stumbled across it after a few beers in Le Marais and couldn't have been happier. We were looking for steak and Les Galopins delivered! The place is buzzing, the waitresses are super attentive and the food was very tasty. I'd be straight back there on my next visit to Paris - and if... More

We have visited Les Galopins each of the last three years (see previous reviews). As noted previously the food continues to be excellent with a country French flair. Service continues to be very good but... this restaurant has been discovered by locals (very few tourists). It is very crowded and a reservation is now necessary. They have added tables and... More

We wandered past here one night and it seemed fairly quiet though we were early. The menu looked good but we kept on walking, On the way back, it was very busy indeed so we wondered if we had made a mistake. So a couple of nights later we tried it. It was already busy but we got a table and... More

We arrived just after opening having read how busy it gets.......and it really did get busy as the evening wore on. I started with the foie gras and my husband had the rabbit terrine, both with fig chutney, both delicious. Lovely bread and toast too. I followed with the veal steak, which was very tasty, the accompanying sauce and potatoes... More

Les Galopins is the proof that real bistrots, where dishes are not microwaved, still exist in Paris. It is always a real pleasure to go especially with friends. It starts to pack quickly after eight so if you don't have a reservation you might have to wait on the sidewalk with a glass of whiskey (as we did once). The... More

right across from the Standard Design hotel is this fantastic proper French restaurant, busy, loud and a blackboard with the menu all in French, great service, staff and customers willing to explain what is on the menu, i know my meats but what sides they come with can be difficult so a little help is always good, house white and... This is astonishing for what it delivers: top-notch food and service, a small but precise, apt wine list, totally elegant and assured. The fresh foie gras de canard with its petite verre de Bergerac was exquisite; Argentine beef, Bearnaise vvg, la rascasse avec sa sauce -divine. The restaurant is small but perfect - thanks guys!

The small restaurant somewhat off the craziness of the Bastille area looks like a bistrot directly out of a French movie of the 1960s. The menu is presented to you on a black board by one of the tattooed hip young females staffing the pleasant place. You can't go wrong, especially for the price. Try the appetizer of the day,... Stumbled upon this place when searching for another restaurant, figured we would give it a try. The food was amazing. The service was top notch; for a tiny place crammed with tables and from what I could see: only 2 servers, they did a phenomenal job. Food spoke for itself: char-grilled rhum steak with potato at gratin, and tagliatelle tossed... More
