We loved our meal at Les Galopins, in the lively Bastille neighborhood. The slow-cooked lamb shoulder was absolutely scrumptious. I asked for a salad to go with it - which wasn't on the menu - and they prepared a delicious one, with many vegetables and a lovely dressing. Wine, service, ambience - all were just perfect.

We, the French start-up located just near by, have gone around the area for a nice lunch place. Well... Les Galopins, by very far, gets our preference. Nothing extraordinary. Nothing boring. Nothing bad. Food is fresh and diverse. Prices are extremely moderated (lunch for 14,50 euros, coffee and glass of wine included). Service is excellent, fun and ironic. We really... More

My brother and I ate here five years ago, it was so good I wanted to go back , so I did, and was not disappointed. I arrived early, and the retaurant was quiet still the welcome was warm . The menu on a chaulk board soon at the table, the complimentary beer as well. I had a rabbit Terrine,... More

Was recommended by the Parisian manager of the apartment for serving typical French food (we had been to Chez Paul the night before). Went with my daughters to celebrate our last night in Paris and return home. We had the escargot pasta as you do followed by the shoulder of lamb which was fantastic. House vin rouge was good also,... More

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary dinner and we were very impressed once again with the quality of the food. We ate on a Sunday night and compared to previous dinning experiences it was much quieter than usual- but equally enjoyable. I am a vegetarian and the choices are somewhat limited but every time we eat here... More

Tipical French food, tasty and delicious especially the meat. Staff really friendly, helpful and patient with us (they spoke excellent English) explaining all the dishes. Everything was perfect from food to the cousy feeling of the restaurant! I definitely suggest it if you're in the Bastille area.

Waitress spoke perfect English and took the time to translate the whole menu. Despite being busy service was very fast and efficient with complementary bread and water. The mains of chicken and veal left us extremely satisfied and we would recommend to anyone who has an appreciation for quality meat at reasonable prices with generous portions. We left the restaurant... More

This area of Paris was new to us very young, lively and fun. The wait person provided good descriptions and recommendations (between her English and my French it all worked out). The food was well prepared, many choices on the menu and good and resonable wine selection. We would like to return and try the lamb for two as it... More

Over three years we've been to this restaurant about 6 times and food consistently good. The steaks are always first class, with lovely sauces. Creme brûlée perfect and the slow cooked pork with honey (?) is amazing. Will definitely go back next year. Only disappointment was it wasn't open at lunchtime the day we left. Staff are lovely and ambience... More

The starter salad with 'croustillant de chèvre' and roasted pears was one of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. But the slow-cooked lamb shoulder (for two @ €44) was just sensational. Meaty, melt-in-the-mouth and with crispy bits here and there. Served simply with fried potatoes and a pot of mustard, there would have been enough meat, in truth,... More
