Small, pleasant, off the beaten path gem

The small restaurant somewhat off the craziness of the Bastille area looks like a bistrot directly out of a French movie of the 1960s. The menu is presented to you on a black board by one of the tattooed hip young females staffing the pleasant place. You can't go wrong, especially for the price... read more

Stumbled upon this place when searching for another restaurant, figured we would give it a try. The food was amazing. The service was top notch; for a tiny place crammed with tables and from what I could see: only 2 servers, they did a phenomenal job. Food spoke for itself: char-grilled rhum steak with potato at gratin, and tagliatelle tossed... More

Came here to eat whilst staying in Antony. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection. The service was also top notch- We didn't have to wait very long at all to be served even though it was a busy Saturday night. Highly recommended, will definitely be visiting again when I next stay in Paris.

This was my second visit to this restaurant. It is located about a third of a mile east of the Bastille and is frequented by neighborhood residents. The menu is quite varied. The food is excellent and the service is good. It stays open until after 10 PM. The prices are reasonable for the entries and desert. I will eat... More

This was our second time trying this place out. We live just a few blocks from Les Galopins and at first were excited to find a new, little spot for a monthly (or more?) dinner. The first time we were there we had relatively good service (we had no specific complaints although nobody went out of their way to be... More

Every time we visit Paris we make a point of visiting this authentic little bistro, serving delicious food at a reasonable price, we have always come away having throughly enjoyed our meal. It does get extremely busy so you may do well to book ahead. Service is fast and efficient, and if you don't speak/ read french every effort is... More

Les Galopins was recommended to me by a close friend including the menu item to order: "Cote du Boef pour 2" a good steak for two people. The meat came with potatoes only French know how to do DELICIOUS. The restaurant is in a small street not far from Metro station Bastille. Highly recommended. Say hi to July! Meal for... More

A nice place for a traditional French meal in the Bastille area, with a frequently changing menu, good food and great atmosphere. It's a small restaurant though, and very busy, so be sure to book.

Les Galopins is a simple neighbourhood bistrot in the 11th, near to Place de la Bastille. The food is fairly standard, but well prepared and the cost is reasonable. We had stuffed chicken breast and pork with mushrooms for our main courses. The choices are all on a slate so I assume they change frequently. There is a reasonable choice... More

A small but comfortable little restaurant in the 13th arrondissement in the middle of the entertainment area but far enough away to be enjoyable to sit down and relax. The prices were not as good as some of the others around that had 'plats' ( a fixed price for entree + main or main + desert) but still ok. The... More
