We have been regulars at Le Timbre for about 6 years. Last night's meal was a great experience. My wife and I found our expectations were exceeded by a wide margin. Bravo!

We are Paris regulars and live in the 6th. We didn't know what to expect with the new owners and chef of Le Timbre. One word. Wow! Best Meal in Paris in the past couple visits by a long shot. Very petite and intimate restaurant. The menu is your choice of 3,4 or 5 courses. You are subject go the... More

Tonight was their first night in this remodeled space (same name as before) and Charlie ans Agnes shined in thier debut. They offered four, or five courses, but were willing to adjust to three if the customer was so inclined (we were). First off, the space has been revamped and is brighter and more inviting than before. There was quiet... More

So sad to hear Chris is leaving, we wanted to say thank you for so, so many delicious and convivial dinners we've had there since 2007. This was our favourite place in Paris ever since we arrived, all the food was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was always fun and intimate. The best lamb and best tarte Tatin in the... More

Chef Chris Wright has sold le Timbre to new owners. It is currently closed for renovations. It is not known what format or menu the new owners are planning, but what is certain is that Chris Wright will not be the chef. That is unfortunate since le Timbre WAS Chris Wright.

Tiny delicious restaurant with the owner/chef right in front of you and other guests at your elbow. They have just two seatings and you will want to be in one. Traditional French food prepared by a chef from Manchester, England. Very friendly.

This small (reservations a must) charming restaurant slays much of the competition in Paris. Just down from L'Hotel St. Beuve (another charmer), this discreet temple to traditional French delicacies was a great experience. One excellent server moved gracefully in a complex "pas de deux" with the chef who worked alone, visible to the guests. An incredible duo indeed. The food... More

Our hotel was right down the block from this restaurant. I called randomly and my husband and I were able to snag the last two available seats at the late seating. Tiny, tiny place which could be off-putting but I found it charming. We were the only two Americans in the restaurant (which I loved). Food was delicious and the... More

This restaurant is extremely quaint and extremely French. They fit ~ 24 people into the space that typical North American restaurants fit 10-12. The wait staff/chef were extremely friendly, efficient and did an amazing job going above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable and authentically French. It was the best meal we had while in Paris and I'll difinitely... More

The service at Le Timbre was truly excellent. The chef/owner waitstaff were friendly and were quite concerned with how we felt about our dinners. As other diners mentioned, it is a tiny place but many of many favorite restaurants measure about this size. I had the pate de compagne, a lieu fish with small white peas (really beans) and the...
