We went here on a recommendation and were blown away by the quality of the food and the very personal service. We were feet away from the chef who produced some of the best food we've eaten. Great to be able to see the chef at work and be talked through all of the dishes by a very attentive waitress.... More

My husband & i went here on the recommendation of our hotel the night we arrived in Paris, so i did not read the reviews on TA or understand that Le Timbre meant postage stamp (literally) before we went. The restaurant has 24 seats, that's it. There are two rows of tables along the walls with an aisle down the... More

Just back from our meal tonight. Read all the reviews, decided to go with the majority of excellent ones and give this place a try. Yes it's small, yes tables have to be moved but they have a system that works. Oh and did I mention the fantastic food? Wasn't sure it would be my 17 year old daughter's thing... More

"Le Timbre" (the postage stamp) is certainly small - I wouldn't think more than 30 covers - but it had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Despite the space, we felt as though we still had some privacy to chat, even when the restaurant was, eventually, absolutely full of people. At it's peak, there is a joyful commotion, and as... More

Unbelievably delicious and beautiful food, the owner/chef talks to you himself if you are there for the early seating (which we were three days in a row this place was so great!). Watching him cook and plate with such artistry and care is a treat. Tables are tiny and close together - happened to work out well for us -... More

A small restaurant with 24 places, side by side, in a back street near metro N D Champs on line 12. Went to first "sitting" on 31 January. Been many times over the years. My black sausage <Boudin noir> was as tasty as ever. Good beaujolais. Current server not upto the job, so chef Chris often had to clear tables,... More

Small restaurant with only 20 places. Owner is cooking the delicious food with passion. Friendly, warm and professional service and the waiter is giving good recommendations both on food and wines going with the food. Price (32-35€ for three course meny) is good compared to the quality of the food. You are seeted very close to the neighbours as there... More

What was the most disappointing part of all was the service, which was rushed throughout the evening. As soon as we would finish one course, we would get served the next one with little time for conversation between the portions. We were also obliged to choose the dessert right at the beginning of our dinner with the excuse that the... More
