When we arrived at Le Timbre in mid September, we were initially very upset to see that the chef whom we loved was no longer there having left one month prior. However, the new chef is his equal and we had a delicious meal. The chef's wife acts as hostess and is very charming and helpful. She gave us a... More

Enjoyed an amazing lunch here for a reasonable price. New owners (very nice couple) took over two weeks ago. Prixe fix menu for lunch. 26 euro pp,includes appetizer, entree and dessert. Fromage 7 euro extra. Also enjoyed champagne and red wine by glass. Very pleasant staff, cozy atmosphere...note small and only seats 26. A must do in Paris looking for a... More

We were so relieved to find that Le Timbre, which my wife and daughter enjoyed so much on their visit, was still alive. My daughter had given me a sum for my birthday with the proviso it be spent at Le Timbre. But then Le Timbre was sold. Qui sait? But in this instance, the chef seller knew and admired... More

We attended the opening night and Manny M's review was absolutely correct. The whole evening was very good. Agnes gave us a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir, she was a bit nervous how things would go. She needn't have worried, she and Charles have Le Timbre in good hands. We shall certainly return and we wish them all the best... More

This was one of our favorite restaurants in Paris and so we were concerned when we learned there was a new chef. However, our dinner was wonderful - very elegant and delicious. Still a charming place with great, creative food. We will be back

We have been regulars at Le Timbre for about 6 years. Last night's meal was a great experience. My wife and I found our expectations were exceeded by a wide margin. Bravo!

We are Paris regulars and live in the 6th. We didn't know what to expect with the new owners and chef of Le Timbre. One word. Wow! Best Meal in Paris in the past couple visits by a long shot. Very petite and intimate restaurant. The menu is your choice of 3,4 or 5 courses. You are subject go the... More

Tonight was their first night in this remodeled space (same name as before) and Charlie ans Agnes shined in thier debut. They offered four, or five courses, but were willing to adjust to three if the customer was so inclined (we were). First off, the space has been revamped and is brighter and more inviting than before. There was quiet... More

So sad to hear Chris is leaving, we wanted to say thank you for so, so many delicious and convivial dinners we've had there since 2007. This was our favourite place in Paris ever since we arrived, all the food was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was always fun and intimate. The best lamb and best tarte Tatin in the... More

Chef Chris Wright has sold le Timbre to new owners. It is currently closed for renovations. It is not known what format or menu the new owners are planning, but what is certain is that Chris Wright will not be the chef. That is unfortunate since le Timbre WAS Chris Wright.
