Seven years after my last visit, very little has changed. The food is uncomplicated but well-prepared and tasty and in generous portions. The waiting staff are attentive, but not overly so - they strike the right balance. Will surely be back - although I've no idea when.

I bumped into Robert, the owner of a closed Fondue restaurant that I loved and he told me he was at Le Tambour. We decided to check it out. My goat cheese salad was excellent. The steaks were good and the onion soup was divine. The wine prices are reasonable as well. The décor is fun and the location great.... More

This place was recommended by the manager of the apartment I rented in Paris with my girlfriend: there was a nice selection of food, I had a steak with pepper sauce and my girlfriend had the entrecote with onion sauce, both really good and tender. Servings were big, and sides were included. Including a couple of drinks, we ended up... More

Dined here on a Monday evening. Though most high recommended for its late night dining, our "prime time" meal was fabulous. Arrived about 8pm, and the cafe tables outside were all filled with locals enjoying an aperitif. Appetizers chosen were the escargots and a homemade terrine. Both excellent, though the waiter's suggestion to try a little Dijon mustard with the... More

I visited this place on a recommendation from the woman we rented an apartment from. The food was just scrumptious. Great flavors and savoury sauces. The restaurant had outdoor seating available - though we opted for an inside option as there was a lot of smokers outside (which is common in Paris). The interior is metro-inspired and it was very... It's not a place to come for a night out, but as a group of friends who want to stay out a little longer for a late night eat or dessert this place has a friendly atmosphere with quick, decent food. Desserts are huge! We came at about 11:30pm for wine and desserts.

Came here about 10.30pm after the France England 6 Nations game. Initially we had planned to go the Pied au Cochon round the corner (purely because it was closer to our tube stop) but it was packed. I knew this was a viable alternative so up we trundled. Queued for 5 minutes inside then shown to our table. Restaurant was... More

We've been there few days ago. Interior is ordinary, nothing special in cuisine. We took steak and dorado - very dry. After this cafe we all got rotavirus - question about quality of washing dishes. I wouldn't advice to go there with kids.

It used to be my favorite spot in Paris. Now, I thing I will never get back there. The service was poor, and I found it expensive. My boyfriend's dish costs 17 euros and he did not touch it. It was only fat. And my boyfriend isn't so difficult with food. My dish, was a little better. If my potatoes... More

I end up there every time I come to Paris. The food is better than you'd expect. This place is as adequate as they come.
