Love it

Everytime i'm in paris i go there. I love the atmosphere, waitresses are always kind and smiling in their retrò outfit! The meat is fantastic and the french fries too, the sauce they serve the meet with is amazing, thanks god i do not know the recipe otherwise i would eat it everyday (and it's not... read more

We were prodded into trying L'Entrecôte when visiting Paris. In short, we tried it, and while our son enjoyed it, my husband and I were underwhelmed, if not confused. The almost military-like tradition for welcoming guests was actually fun -- doors flung open on the dot and patrons herded unceremoniously to tables shoved so close together you may as well... More

Don't expect a menu (just for desserts) The menu in this place is set, salad, beef and fries, but they're great. You won't waste time looking what to order you just have to decide how cooked you want the meat. The staff is friendly and the creme broulee is amazing

While the food is basic (it's a set menu) it is wonderful. After several fancy and expensive restaurants it was nice to have a casual and delicious dinner. If anyone can figure the sauce they use PLEASE post it! Delicious fun evening.

The location is great. Right next to the metro station. The restaurant and the waiters were very kind, spoke fluent English. The service was very nice. The meat was very delucious, the sauce was tasty. But the king was the fried potato. Fresh, thin, crispy very tasty. Worst part is the price. Expect to pay almost twice the price of... More

The food was disgusting, the price was ridiculous and the service was absolutely atrocious. It was my Christmas present off of my boyfriend, a weekend away in Paris. Our hotel was 5* right by the Eiffel Tower, everything was perfect, except however, our choice to dine here. We were waiting a good 20 minutes in the cold for a table.... More

We happened upon Le Relais by accident, it looked good and we walked in. Monday night 7.45ish.........there were perhaps six or eight couples dining, shown to our table where having ignored the menu outside we discovered that there is only one main course available, Steak Frites.......it was brilliant......I will not give any more of the surprises away but we thoroughly... The steak frites at this restaurant really ARE as good as all the fuss! Steak was so, so tender that it could have been cut with a butter knife, and that famous peppercorn sauce is going to be my new obsession in the kitchen as I try to duplicate it. The fries are spot on and the portions are huge.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
