Consistent and Delicious

Overall, the restaurant is consistent, I've been here 4 or 5 times and never disappoints me. Sauce is amazing, good quality meat and great fries! You only get a menu for drinks and desserts. So they only ask you how much do you want to eat (dose or 1/2) and how would you like your meat cooked... read more

Great dining experience and worth the wait to get in. Staff very efficient and friendly. Steak tasty and cooked to your individual liking. Frites a bit too skinny but plenty of them. When first plate finished you are given a second serving. Nice touch.

Well I googled for the best steak house in Paris as I was accompanied with my wife and were both hungry. Decided to feed our hunger by some juicy steaks, the taste and tenderness were on top. What impressed me more was quality-price. Very recommended!

With its limited menu, le Rélais is always consistent and always good with rarely a goof. Good place for private dining as well as to take business guests, even in groups. When events are in town go there early as there are no reservations - they open at 19:00 and one often sees a line in front the door.

So, there's no menu. The often rude waitress comes to the table and you order rare - saignant, medium - à point, or well-done - bien cuit. Don't ask questions, just say one of those three words and you've ordered. They bring you a salad (no substitutes or dressing options), which has a Dijon mustard vinaigrette and is tasty. Then... As another review said, this is the ultimate "you get what you get and you don't throw" a fit restaurant. That being said, it is very well done, the service team was very pleasant and efficient at the same time. There is definitely a line, and given that our hotel overlooked it, we saw that it got no better until... More

...until we ate there. The best steak frites - that's all they serve. And don't think at first that the main course serving is a bit small - you get it served twice. And that special house sauce......! The Relais de L'Entrecote has long been in the 'Top 5 Steak Frites in Paris'. If you eat here, you will understand... More

The food is amazingly good, they only serve steak and fries with a very good gravy sauce and a nice salad!they bring you steak twice so you wont leave this restaurant with an empty stomach! The only thing is that you cannot make a reservation, everyone has to wait in line to eat here, sometimes even 40 minutes, but its totally... More

Indeed you wait in line for a long time, and yes once you're inside everything seems to be so fast. Simply put; best steak and frites! The steak sauce is deliciousness and the house wine was fairly good too. Must go. Period.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
