Description: This St-Germain des Pres landmark continues to thrive as it has done since...
This St-Germain des Pres landmark continues to thrive as it has done since the turn of the last century. The classic Art Nouveau brasserie style is still elegant, with ivy arches, swooping iron banisters to the mezzanine, ironwork facade, and beautifully lit glass ceiling fanlights. You'll feel as if you're having a real Parisian experience and you are, you are. The menu is classic French. Try starter of wonderful fruits de mer, main course of calves liver meuniere with caramelised salsify and broccoli, and pudding of fantastic 'Saint Germain' ice cream sundae.

Had walked past this corner restaurant on several occasions, enticed by the wonderful seafood on display was determined to try before leaving Paris. Was therefore delighted to find a Tripadvisor offer of 30% off if a table was booked online. Although it was too wet to sit outside we were shown to a perfect window table. The service was impeccable,... More

Fab service, traditional bistro fare, reasonable prices... a little off the beaten path so if you are in the district and seeking a nice neighborhood meal - this is a nice place to visit.

Came across this restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to have breakfast at. Their set breakfast at EUR 7.90 is very good value for money, and their croissants were great! Freshly squeezed orange juice, nice bread, good coffee, and friendly staff. What more can one ask for?

This place is no Zinc, more a full on restaurant. We had a meal here on our Insight tour and it was great. Ambiance is good and the fixed menu meal that they cooked was very nicely done. from our experience with Insight Tours, it would appear that turning out a meal for forty people is beyond the capability of... A very charming bistro serving great oysters. The langoustines were also amazing. The staff was very friendly and the service was spot on. Great place to enjoy a true Parisian lunch.

Lovely restaurant near Saint-Germain-Des-Prés. It was my night for a fancy dinner and here is where I landed. With the help of the waiter, who was very kind and spoke a little English, I chose the prix fix dinner special. The meal started with an appetizer of cheese and olives, if I remember correctly. This was followed by the main... More

We visited the place, which was recommended for seafood. Usually I choose the place based on varius foodie guides, but as we had a nice hotel With ver helpful staff I thought this could work. Not so. We sat 35 minutes without a drink (not even water), and both the starters and main courses arrived separately (tepid). Today you find... More

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to write a feedback. We are sorry about the waiting time. 35 minutes is indeed a very long and our waiters should have offered you a drink. I can assure you that your comment regarding this was sent to the manager. Regarding the order of the service, our waiter did it the... More

Good wine and friendly staff! It was a great spot to sit outdoors and relax after lots of walking. Cannot comment on the food, but was intrigued by the menu and the indoor decor was very interesting.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
