Description: This St-Germain des Pres landmark continues to thrive as it has done since the turn of the last century. The classic Art Nouveau brasserie style is still elegant, with ivy arches, swooping iron banisters to the mezzanine, ironwork facade, and beautifully lit glass ceiling fanlights. You'll feel as if you're having a real Parisian experience and you are, you are. The menu is classic French. Try starter of wonderful fruits de mer, main course of calves liver meuniere with caramelised salsify and broccoli, and pudding of fantastic 'Saint Germain' ice cream sundae.

We got put in a corner table, hidden away and essentially forgotten by the staff. The restaurant was not busy, so no excuse. They were helpful when we got their attention, it's just that we always ended to track them down. Great French Fries and the goat cheese appetizer.

We visited this restaurant in April on a beautiful Parisian evening. On a busy street, with many competitors urging entrance, the menu seemed attractive...not inexpensive, but little is in Paris these days. We were greeted by an over-solicitous maitre d' (should have been a warning) and went on to an awful meal...which we suspect included some material prepared elsewhere long... More

My husband and I had dinner here on a perfect early July evening. It was the ideal evening to eat outside, warm, breezy, with soft light as the sun set late. Even the accordion player who stopped twice on his rounds of the local restaurants was good. (Not so much the violinist with the karaoke machine, playing "Somewhere Over the... More

The coupe to start was a stingy pour of second rate champagne. Then I had to flag down a server to take my order after sitting for 20+ minutes. I'm an American living in Europe so I know to be relaxed about the pace of service, but this was still a bit lax. The foie gras and oysters were lovely.... More

Had a wonderful experience: meal was excellent and service was good. We were doubtful about the service at first, as we were greeted somewhat cooly by the host. But once seated, our wait staff was good, friendly, timely. Lovely ambience in a charming neighborhood; we were seated at a window table and could take in the actitivies outside. Beautiful table... Went here after a hotel recommendation and after checking Tripadvisor. Starting to wonder if the arrogant French waiter actually exists. The greeter was very friendly even after explaining we had no booking. The waiter, Doudi, was very friendly and helpfull. The snails were great, the Bass for 2 was huge but very nice and the souffle was out of this... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it was a gem. In a lively neighborhood, great for walking around after your meal. My husband and I shared the langostino appetizer which was incredibly reasonably priced compared to the states and really tasty! We then shared the sea bass special which we determined to be branzino (my husband's favorite fish), it was... More

I visite Le Petit Zinc for dinner on the recommendation of the hotel where I was staying. I was dining alone and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had the fixed price menu which was excellent - delicious fresh oysters and a very good steak tartare.

Perfect for a mid afternoon snack if you are walking in St Germain! Around the holiday season the decorations were beautiful!
