We ate here on our trip in March and couldn't have been more pleased. The food was excellent, the service was polite and we considered it our overall best meal during our 2 week trip. The smoked Camembert starter was so good and my duck and potatoes had a fabulous sauce. Do yourself a favor and go!

Le Petit Pontoise is a quaint little restaurant in the Latin Quarter of Paris that we are repeatedly drawn to. Quality has been consistent over three visits in two years. Menus are available in both French and English, and the servers (e.g. Ana who has worked there for 14 years) can be counted on for recommendations and advice to complement... More

This typical small and quaint French restaurant was just perfect. The bean salad and dorade on vegetables were wonderful. The small staff were helpful and friendly. A perfect lunch but dinner would be just as good. Will return.

The restaurant has just been taken over by two brothers who are the waiters and very attentive and friendly. The chef has remained and the restaurant has retained its character. There was not a free table on a Saturday night and the rest of the dinners were French. The food was outstanding, the lamb for the main course was the... More

I went to Le Petit Pontoise for my birthday dinner this past Saturday, and our meal was superb. It was recommended to me by family and my guide book so I new I had to try it. I started with the salad of green beans and crayfish tossed in a balsamic dressing which was unbelievable. My main course, however, was... More

we got a tip from a friend to go to this restaurant, of all the fantastic restaurants in Paris, this was the best lunch-restaurant in his opinion. we agree! it was fantastic food, home-enviroment, all the menus was written on the walls and the recommendations was exellent! i would especially recommend the "house-snails" -escargot de maison! worth a visit!

Most important this restaurant is open Sundays. Portions are generous; you can get almost any wine by the glass; food is very good with some interesting twists such as fish with lightly scented vanilla sauce. French group of 3 next to us all had large pieces of calves liver and left their plates clean. Good service.

I visited this restaurant again after one year, Food quality remained excellent with the same menue served over the last at least many years. Sdervice is good and the owner is always present to keep an eye. Selection is not wide but reseasonable . Higly recommended for the quality a little bit expensive.

We had a wonderful dinner here on our last night in Paris. It's a cozy, quaint, friendly place with delicious fish and wine and dessert. Loved the area and really enjoyed the ambiance. Will definitely return.

Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner.
