Booked late on the recommendation of our hotel and luckily got a table. From the moment we walked in the service was friendly warm and helpful. A great wine to open followed by excellent entrees and mains. Highlight was the swordfish main. Highly recommended.

Every time we are in Paris we have dinner at least once at Le Petit Pontoise. A small bistro on a side street off Blvd. St Germain, the food is consistently inventive and well executed. I love the pork cheeks in honey and spices, my husband loves their perfectly grilled steak. A small but satisfying wine list and delicious desserts.... More

Tucked away on a Latin Quarter side street one half block from the Seine, this tiny yet relaxed old world style bistro offers simple, top quality classics at reasonable prices. The wine list (est. 60+) has been thoughtfully selected with superb taste but prices that can escalate quickly. The scallops, in a vegetable medley and sauce is not only lite... More

Not the best view.. but certainly the best food and service I've had in France. Highly recommend and I'm a food snob. Our hotel highly recommended this wonderful little restaurant and we are so glad we went there.

This was our first and best meal in Paris. We shared an entree of cheese Dauphine's raviolis - miniature raviolis baked in a creamy cheese sauce that were excellent. My free range chicken with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy was real comfort food on a chilly Spring evening - I loved every forkful! My husband's filet of beef with gourmande... More

I wanted to LOVE this restaurant because it was adorable and the server (who I think is the owner) could not have been better...warm, knowledgeable, perfect in every way. My escargots en cassolette was a truly interesting and unusual preparation and excellent and my husband's artichoke and parmesan tatin was outstanding. If that had benn my meal I would have... More

My friend and I had a really good meal at Le Petit Pontoise. I started with the Tatin d'Artichauts and my friend had the Camembert rôti. I had the poulet fermier for my main course and she had the noix de Saint-Jacques. Everything was very good, but pricey. The waitress was very nice and the service was good. I will... More

Was recommended to this restaurant from my hotel and really was one of the best brasserie meals I had in Paris. The service from the owner was so warm and friendly which was different from most of the Parisian restaurants. Most of the classical dishes was done exquisitely. Wine list was good as well. Definitely a must try!

Our French friend booked this restaurant on our behalf for a birthday celebration. What a disappointment. The food is pleasant enough (but not great) and they were very busy, but customer service was abysmal. The attitude was that they were doing us a favour letting us be there. Table was not laid properly, even though we had booked in advance... More
