Don't miss Le Petit Pointoise in the 5th. Very good food and ambience on a quiet street with tables outside in fair weather.

I went to this place on my own on my husband's recommendation - he had eaten here about a year ago. I found it to be a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I loved the main/plat I had - Duck Parmentier with Fois Gras. Delicious. The wine was also very good, though overpriced I think. I can't speak to the... More

On our 3rd in Paris we visited a restaurant just a stones throw from the river seine and boulevard st Germain. Le Petit Pontoise is a true Parisian French bistro in every sense of the word. I liked all the dishes I ate at this restaurant, so it comes highly recommended from me.The first main was duck breast on a... More

Traditional French food. Try the kidneys and the Italian cake. Wine is charged up to what you have drunk (even if less than half a bottle (à la ficelle)

From the artichoke tatin to the rack of lamb and the grandma's secret tart tatin, everything was cooked perfectly, delicate and delicious. The service was perfect. We ate at an outside table on a beautiful evening. Our experience was magical. I highly recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I booked a table for 8 on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was pleasantly full with a mix of French and foreign guests. The service was delightful, and the atmosphere very warm and friendly. It's a small place, with tables outside in the summer, and the staff knew some of the customers and were happy to... More

My wife and I had a memorable dinner at Le Petit Pontoise. The food was amazing! The service was wonderful and we felt like we were their special guests, even though the place was packed. It's one of the few times I've actually asked to meet the chef, the food was that good. I would highly recommend the Artichoke Tart... More

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
