Description: Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi is found just steps from Notre Dame and serves food made from only the very freshest of produce. A good choice for gourmets and food lovers, here you can indulge in snails cooked in a creamy brie sauce, cheese fondant with honeyed almonds and walnuts or foie gras and apple chutney for starters followed by a fabulous fresh fish of the day or for meat lovers the delicious veal with ravigotte sauce; coq au vin or chateaubriand with pepper sauce. Dessert should not be missed either. Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi also has a terrace that is great for al fresco dining.

Le Petit Pontoise was recommended by friends that lived in Paris. The restaurant is a quaint bistro and has excellent food AND pleasant staff. They opened at 7 (as was our reservation) but we were cold and had finished our touring so we showed up at 6:20. They invited us in and put us at our table for 5. They... More

This restaurant is my favorite place to eat in Paris. It is our "go to" place anytime that we are in town. Our friend took us there for the first time two years ago and we went back in November 2014 again. The food is classically French. The menu is detailed, well thought out, and perfect for a nice meal... More

We've eaten at Le Petit Pontoise a number of times, and have had the pleasure of introducing Parisian friends to this small, wonderful place. Our last visit in November 2014 was better than ever. The food was excellent, the wine lovely, and the service impeccable. We also find it to be a very convivial place. We struck up conversation with... More

Spent a weekend in Paris in October 2014 and friends recommended Le Petit Pontoise in the Latin Quarter. We had lunch and the food, wine, and service were all excellent. The fois gras was the best I've had. This is an authentic French restaurant and I highly recommend it. I would definitely go there again next time I'm in Paris.

Excellent food and wonderful ambiance. The waiters took excellent care of us and food was served at just the right tempo for us to enjoy and not feel rushed even though the place was very crowded. Second time we have eaten here and would definitely go back on next visit to Paris.

We came for a late dinner and received excellent, knowledgeable service, even as the last table in the restaurant. The food is updated home style French - clever and filling. Very easy walk from Notre Dame. Only issue is the limited (for Paris) wine list.

My husband and I traveled to Paris May 2012 and stayed near the Notre Dame Cathedral. Someone recommended this restaurant and it was honestly one of the most delicious meals I've had. It's quaint, non-touristy (at least when I was there), mostly in French. I remember just pointing and nodding, but both of our meals were superb. Definitely a huge... More

Went to Le Petite Ponsoise for dinner with friends whilst weekending in Paris. The restaurant is unpretentious but the food is fine and well presented. All the meals, a variety of fish and meat dishes, were very good and the house wine was fine. Not especially cheap but good value. The location, a couple of streets away from Notre Dame,... More

We went for a weekend to Paris, it was my first time in Paris so I didn't want to take any chances. We booked in advanced to this restaurant because a friend that lived for a year in Paris recommended it. I could't say more about this place, just go! The atmosphere, the food, wine list. We were served by... More

Tables very close together, very noisy tourists who do not realize they should speak low while eating in a restaurant, food average, food and wine overpriced, worst meal in Paris so far
