Description: Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi is found just steps from Notre Dame and serves food made from only the very freshest of produce. A good choice for gourmets and food lovers, here you can indulge in snails cooked in a creamy brie sauce, cheese fondant with honeyed almonds and walnuts or foie gras and apple chutney for starters followed by a fabulous fresh fish of the day or for meat lovers the delicious veal with ravigotte sauce; coq au vin or chateaubriand with pepper sauce. Dessert should not be missed either. Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi also has a terrace that is great for al fresco dining.

Most important this restaurant is open Sundays. Portions are generous; you can get almost any wine by the glass; food is very good with some interesting twists such as fish with lightly scented vanilla sauce. French group of 3 next to us all had large pieces of calves liver and left their plates clean. Good service.

I visited this restaurant again after one year, Food quality remained excellent with the same menue served over the last at least many years. Sdervice is good and the owner is always present to keep an eye. Selection is not wide but reseasonable . Higly recommended for the quality a little bit expensive.

We had a wonderful dinner here on our last night in Paris. It's a cozy, quaint, friendly place with delicious fish and wine and dessert. Loved the area and really enjoyed the ambiance. Will definitely return.

This is a small restaurant, typical Parisian. Good home cooked food (he cooks, she serves) at a reasonable price (for now!). Let's hope the place does not become a victim of its own success.

This became one of my favorite bistro in Paris! Classic French and absolutely delicious. Had the ravioles du Dauphiné as an appetizer and for dinner I had the quail ( best I've had in my life) with roasted vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection. Wine list is not extensive but carefully chosen and good. Incredible service, very friendly and very... More

P.P. is one of those little bistros that you always knew that you would find one day ! In a side street off the Left Bank, opposite the Isle St Louis, is this family restaurant worth making a detour for. The owners are smilingly friendly - they know you are in for a treat - and speak excellent english. The... More

Le Petit Pontoise was recommended by friends that lived in Paris. The restaurant is a quaint bistro and has excellent food AND pleasant staff. They opened at 7 (as was our reservation) but we were cold and had finished our touring so we showed up at 6:20. They invited us in and put us at our table for 5. They... More

This restaurant is my favorite place to eat in Paris. It is our "go to" place anytime that we are in town. Our friend took us there for the first time two years ago and we went back in November 2014 again. The food is classically French. The menu is detailed, well thought out, and perfect for a nice meal... More

We've eaten at Le Petit Pontoise a number of times, and have had the pleasure of introducing Parisian friends to this small, wonderful place. Our last visit in November 2014 was better than ever. The food was excellent, the wine lovely, and the service impeccable. We also find it to be a very convivial place. We struck up conversation with... More

Spent a weekend in Paris in October 2014 and friends recommended Le Petit Pontoise in the Latin Quarter. We had lunch and the food, wine, and service were all excellent. The fois gras was the best I've had. This is an authentic French restaurant and I highly recommend it. I would definitely go there again next time I'm in Paris.
