Description: Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi is found just steps from Notre Dame and serves food made from only the very freshest of produce. A good choice for gourmets and food lovers, here you can indulge in snails cooked in a creamy brie sauce, cheese fondant with honeyed almonds and walnuts or foie gras and apple chutney for starters followed by a fabulous fresh fish of the day or for meat lovers the delicious veal with ravigotte sauce; coq au vin or chateaubriand with pepper sauce. Dessert should not be missed either. Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi also has a terrace that is great for al fresco dining.

Loved this place...an easy walk from the apartment we rented in the Latin Quarter, reasonable prices, and big step above bistro/brasserie food plus an adorable chef/part-owner to welcome us. The "misses" were mainly focused around a cool-to-almost rude waitress with seemingly no knowledge of the wine list nor some of the menu items that were available. If the service were... More

On Rue Pontoise right behind Notre Dame. Authentic bistro with HUGE delicious offerings and reasonable prices. Sidewalk seating on balmy summer evenings. Most recent visit delighted us with sautéed girolles (chanterelles) starter and an AMAZING cailles (quail) which was an extremely generous serving. Wines are listed on the blackboard with many choices. This is a regular stop in Paris for... More

Recently had dinner here with teen and we BOTH enjoyed it. The restaurant is cozy, the food is delicious, and the location is good (short walk to the Seine and Notre Dame). Price was very reasonable as well. A delightful evening.

In this place one does not only find the nice setting that one would hope to find in Paris, but also food that is really of very high level. It is a place where you can savor exquisite food. We had, among other, an excellent foie gras, fantastic shrimps, an incredibile parmetier of duck and excellent lamb. A chocolate dessert... More

We were staying in Melia Colbert and so had wandered round Latin Quarter to check out places to eat. Le Petit Pontoise was literally round the corner and so we tried it out. It was fabulous. At the end of the day it is on an average side street with nothing to make it stand out but the young man/waiter/maitre'd... More

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Loved this place! We spent 10 days eating dinners in Paris and this was my favorite meal from start to finish. I had foie gras followed by more foie gras (parmentier with foie gras) ended with tarte tatin-delicious! My friend had the lamb which was superb and perfectly cooked as was my was sister's chicken with potatoes. I'm like... More

Cosy small almost to the point of intimate! Great food, the sort of classic French cooking you hope to find but rarely do. Great ingredients cooked in a traditional style nothing fancy but fantastic. Surprisingly good wines available at reasonable prices. Would I go back? Definitely, but I would aim to go there later in the evening to miss the... More
