Description: Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi is found just steps from Notre Dame and serves food made from only the very freshest of produce. A good choice for gourmets and food lovers, here you can indulge in snails cooked in a creamy brie sauce, cheese fondant with honeyed almonds and walnuts or foie gras and apple chutney for starters followed by a fabulous fresh fish of the day or for meat lovers the delicious veal with ravigotte sauce; coq au vin or chateaubriand with pepper sauce. Dessert should not be missed either. Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi also has a terrace that is great for al fresco dining.

Tables very close together, very noisy tourists who do not realize they should speak low while eating in a restaurant, food average, food and wine overpriced, worst meal in Paris so far

Selected this restaurant from Trip Advisor, in the heart of the Latin Quarter a few steps from The Seine.Le Petit Pontoise was a small very French Bistro offering an intimate atmosphere and wonderful food. Pigs cheeks and Tarte Tatin were outstanding and overall the meal was memorable and the service was pleasant if a little understated. Not cheap at 130... More

Located in the heart of Saint Germain, Le Petit Pontoise is a typically small French bistro with excellent service and a traditional menu as noted in other reviews. We greatly enjoyed the foie gras, artichoke terrine, rognons de veau and apple tart. The monthly wine choice was excellent ...overall great value.

A friendly recommendation that was outstanding and perfectly French. Although the menu is quite brief the selection was good and everything we had tasted great and well portioned (just the right amounts). There is also a great selection of wines that scatter the wall, the Gigondas is a must for me! Although the restaurant is quite small, it didn't feel... More

Charming bistro with amazing food and very friendly staff. My partner ordered the escargots as a starter...they came in a copper pot and were as good or better as any we tasted in France. I had a homemade foisgras with fig in the center.Yum!!! The main courses were delicious and lots of menu choices. the desert was floating island that... More

Our hostess in a nearby B/B referred us to this restaurant along with 3 other nearby places. We are in her debt for that recommendation. Food, service, and setting were all exceptional. It was the perfect arrival orientation after a too-long jet-lagged trip.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at this restaurant recommended by the hotel and also on Trip Adviser. I had the duck and wasn't disappointed, the menu is quite good with variety so there was plenty of choice. This is well worth visiting, nice for a romantic meal but also for one with friends. Well worth the visit.

One of the best meals, wine and service we've ever had! tried new dishes like pork cheeks and lamb kidneys , cooked "the old way" and they were amazing! A great place to try in Paris, in the Latin quarter.

Had a great meal here on our third night in Paris so much so that we returned two days later!! Warm friendly service, exceptionally good food that was very fairly priced. Stand out dishes were the quail with grapes, sea bass, roast chicken, pigs cheeks, the vegetable stack and the dessert special was a roasted pineapple with homemade ice cream... More
