My sister and I really enjoyed our 3-course meal here the night of my first marathon in Paris. The food was excellent though I probably should have asked for my meal a little more cooked! They had a very wide selection of wines and the service was casual and friendly. It was a little on the expensive side at about... More

My husband and I were meeting up with a friend for lunch in Paris and we asked him if he had ever been to Le Petit Pontoise, a firm favourite of ours. He had not, so it was as good an excuse as any for a return visit. Well, let's just say, it is now a favourite of his. The... More

We visited for lunch. The appetizer of prawns was very good. The steaks were great! The scallops were also magnificent. Desserts were out of this world. Most wines are served by the glass and they charge you for your consumption. This is a simple restaurant that for me epitomizes Paris dining.

This lovely little restaurant is rightly popular and full of left bank Parisians. Service was warm and accommodating. Good was absolutely terrific - beautifully prepared without being too fussy. Wine recommendations were perfect. Go!

Charming little restaurant run by two brothers. One is the chef and the other serves. Typical French – close quarters. Good bon ami and the food was quite delicious – particularly the escargot served with little tiny mushrooms. Interesting wine list on blackboards on the walls – very decent selection. Close to the Latin Quarter so you can stop here... More

This is a delightful little restaurant between Boulevard Saint Germain and the river, on the edge of the Left Bank/Latin Quarter area. It has a lovely ambience and very friendly waiters and the food is perfect French fare with a selection of wines, covering a wide price range, outlined by region on blackboards on the wall. You feel as if... More

We ate here on our trip in March and couldn't have been more pleased. The food was excellent, the service was polite and we considered it our overall best meal during our 2 week trip. The smoked Camembert starter was so good and my duck and potatoes had a fabulous sauce. Do yourself a favor and go!

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
