Had a great meal here on our third night in Paris so much so that we returned two days later!! Warm friendly service, exceptionally good food that was very fairly priced. Stand out dishes were the quail with grapes, sea bass, roast chicken, pigs cheeks, the vegetable stack and the dessert special was a roasted pineapple with homemade ice cream... More

Went there on advice/suggestion of our hotel front desk. We were not disappointed. Had the artichoke tatin to start which was fabulous-my hubby and I split it. We both agreed that we should have gotten our own! The portion size was great, but it tasted so wonderful that we wanted more. I got the braised pig cheeks and my hubby... More

A wonderful meal with some of the friendliest staff in Paris. It is hard to find a bistro open on Sunday in Paris and this was place was very full. We had a wonderful Chablis and then I had a beet root and goat cheese mille feuille. I followed this with the stewed pig cheeks. As so many others have... More

We went to Le Petit Pontoise on the recommendation of the concierge at Chateau Sainte Jacques. My husband and I have been to Paris many times and have eaten in every kind of venue from Michelin starred restaurants to tiny street cartes, but our meal at Le Petit Pontoise was one of the very best. Everything about the experience combined... More

Outstanding food, at reasonable prices for Paris, at classic Bistro . English menu available. Well priced house wines that was quite good. Friends went next evening on our advice and loved it.

A bit pricey but good tasting food. The place was busy but service was quick. Hubby had a perfectly cooked medium rare steak and I had veal liver. Of course, the sauces make a difference.

Food was solid. I had the veal chops with pesto, which had excellent flavor but was a very small portion size. The service needs work though, as both the male and female waitresses were very cold and inattentive. If we needed anything, you basically had to hope the waiter would make eye contact with you. All in all, good food... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by my cousin (who had eaten here a year earlier) who knew we were on a budget for our honeymoon but wanted to enjoy one "big" meal. It was perfect! The atmosphere was wonderful, the staff were friendly and spoke English, and the food was delicious. We ordered the Parmesan artichoke and escargot for... More

After a lovely day of wandering through the Luxembourg Gardens and surrounding areas, we found our way to Le Petit Pontoise. We were seated outside and enjoyed a nice crisp white wine as well as the appetizer shown below and our entrees. A neighborhood gem, this spot makes you feel as though you have lived in the area all your... More

This little gem is always an enjoyable experience for my husband and I year after year. The atmosphere is charming and the food is consistently delicious and interesting. I might add the waiter helping us was not only lovely and polite but extremely easy on the eyes;) great wine knowledge too.
