A good choice for gourmets and food lovers, here you can indulge in snails cooked in a creamy brie sauce, cheese fondant with honeyed almonds and walnuts or foie gras and apple chutney for starters followed by a fabulous fresh fish of the day or for meat lovers the delicious veal with ravigotte sauce; coq au vin or chateaubriand with pepper sauce. Dessert should not be missed either. Le Petit Pontoise...Aussi also has a terrace that is great for al fresco dining.

This is a small neighborhood restaurant. Everything we ate, except for the creme brule was amazing. Entres even for lunch were in the 25-30E range so it is not inexpensive, but it was really good.My husband had the pig cheeks which were delicious it is served in a pot like a stew but I would eat here again just for... Whenever we are in Paris, we make reservations at Le Petit Pontoise. Located on a small side street off of the quay it is the perfect neighborhood restaurant. The food and the wine selections are perfect. The ambiance is warm, and feels like you are sitting in someone's large dining room with family. Even our grandchildren (ages 5, 7, 9,... More

We found Le Petit Pontoise in our Lonely Planet book because we to explore the Latin Quarter one evening. Le Petit Pontoise was a cozy and small treat we found in the area. The food and decor is reminiscent of Provence and you feel as though you are not eating in a restaurant but enjoying someones home cooked meal. Our... More

This restaurant is awesome. We had the best lamb shank and foie gras in our life. The price is a bit on the high side, but well worth a visit. Recommended.

This small family run bistro restaurant, very close to Notre Dame, offers some fine regional meals as well as your usual Parisian fare. The pigs cheeks were great, as were the veal kidneys. It has a great feel to the place, which is supported by friendly and efficient service.

Loved this place...an easy walk from the apartment we rented in the Latin Quarter, reasonable prices, and big step above bistro/brasserie food plus an adorable chef/part-owner to welcome us. The "misses" were mainly focused around a cool-to-almost rude waitress with seemingly no knowledge of the wine list nor some of the menu items that were available. If the service were... More

On Rue Pontoise right behind Notre Dame. Authentic bistro with HUGE delicious offerings and reasonable prices. Sidewalk seating on balmy summer evenings. Most recent visit delighted us with sautéed girolles (chanterelles) starter and an AMAZING cailles (quail) which was an extremely generous serving. Wines are listed on the blackboard with many choices. This is a regular stop in Paris for... More

Recently had dinner here with teen and we BOTH enjoyed it. The restaurant is cozy, the food is delicious, and the location is good (short walk to the Seine and Notre Dame). Price was very reasonable as well. A delightful evening.

In this place one does not only find the nice setting that one would hope to find in Paris, but also food that is really of very high level. It is a place where you can savor exquisite food. We had, among other, an excellent foie gras, fantastic shrimps, an incredibile parmetier of duck and excellent lamb. A chocolate dessert... More
