Tea & cake!

Lovely teapots, efficient service, beautiful mint tea & the biggest slice of lemon meringue I've ever seen! Probably best to get one to share...very funky & laid back place to chill out after a spot of sight seeing in the Bastille area & not far from Victor Hugo's house

€24 euros for a very poor breakfast where even the croissants were forgotten and the waitress rudely said they only came with Le brunch which we were having! Tiny coffees with 45 min wait to get another at full extra cost. Lots of things served did not look fresh.

Food was very average. The brunch was poor and looked/tasted as if it was made the day before. Table was dirty. On my way to the toilette saw the kitchen was dirty and packed with leftovers. How could they cook there? No idea. Only good thing were the cakes.

Our third visit to Le Loire and each time is great for lunch and dessert. We dream of the lemon meringue pie before our visit - the best we've ever tasted- but it should be shared due to the size.

Great little spot for brunch with a very Parisian feel and a good brunch. Cake selection looked delicious. Staff were obliging and quick. Have tried a few times to come here but the queue is usually quite a wait. Luckily not this time.

We came here after a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. A lovely cafe situated in a lovely area. Staff busy and friendly though appeared a little fraught at times. The choice of cake is amazing and portions are large, though you do pay for the pleasure...it is not cheap!! We sampled the quiche & salad which... More

If you are wandering in the St Paul distric and you want to have some rest in a warm spot having a tea or coffe, so go there. And don't forget to try their famous huge lemon pie! A must eat pastry!

Some Parisian friends of mine took me here for afternoon tea and promised me the biggest lemon meringue/marshmallow pie cake I'd ever see - they were right! There's a lovely Alice in Wonderland meets shabby chic vibe to the place. The cake selection is fantastic and my goodness they're huge! The tea choice is also really good - I had... More

We went there at lunch time, there was a queue outside but we were lucky because after few minutes they call us for a table. The place is very particular, is a very crowded place, waiters and waitress are polite and helpful to choose the dishes. The quality of the food is really fantastic!

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
