We spend much time in Paris and have eaten at quite a few of what are probably thought of as the top end restaurants. For us, Grand Vefour was different as the location was genuinely "olde worlde" and is truly picturesque...quite a few Paris restaurants are now becoming, just in my opinion, too modern. The price is hefty but not... More

Classic French food in a royal setting with splendid service. The bill, however, may cause cardiac arrest!! All in all a wonderful experience.

We have had a number of great meals here but will not return after the last visit when we were put in a side rooms with tee-shirt clad fans of a certain American university football team. It was frightful experience.

A very famous restaurant. Napolean, John Paul-Sartre, Victor Hugo, Simone De Bolivier all have eaten here. It is a two star Michelin restaurant and is very expensive. Forget the price you see listed here on Trip Advisor. With wine it is going to cost $300 to $500 US per person or more. Is it worth it? Maybe once in your... More

Le Grand Vefour, one of the oldest grand establishments and a bastion of exquisite formidable gastronomy, is back in force with chef Guy Martin... The ambiance is great with the surrounding of a great Salon ... The food is indeed superb and truly magnificent.. The desserts are to die for especially the Manjari Cube... and then more sweets were served... More

For the longest time, the decor, the history, and the name-brand pull of Le Grand Vefour helped carry it through an extended period where the food itself had rather lost its way. Never disappointing, but equally, never inspirational like back in the days when it was spoken of in the company of the very best in the world. Of course,... More

This is a historical citadel of classic French cuisine. The menu was great but it is not often you dine in such a venue. It was a really good menu sevice was okay. I felt a little overcrowded but I understand only so much space for so many people and lets face it, if it was not great no one... More

This is an amazing venu . The decor is incredible and the staff are keen to divulge its complex history . Lunch is good value for the service, the most wonderful food and amazing extras. The little extras ,such as the amuse Bouche;the pre dessert and the best petit fours I have ever eaten .Their pastry chef is a "wunderkind "... More

We booked for the set lunch, and do not speak French [just carry a handy phrase book), but had a really lovely afternoon here. The waiters are extremely helpful and friendly, the decor beautiful, and the food ,though not the very best we have ever had , is good. If we had time in our visit to Paris , we... More

After reading some of the reviews, I would agree entirely with them. Please read the rest of this review to understand why I feel this is one of the best restaurants we've experienced. Chef Guy Martin presents fantastic food . The service is the most sophisticated we've ever expeienced. We entered without reservation for a lunch. After the hostess politely... More
