My husband and I enjoyed dinner here after reading many good reviews. The wine was delicious and resaonably-priced and I was delighted by the emphasis on vegatbles during many of the courses. The subway ride and walk were easy from the more tourist-packed areas. Visitors to Paris-dont shy away from thos restaurant or others in this neighbourhood!

After sifting through 100s of reviews of where to eat in Paris, not wanting to miss any potential opportunities, we stumbled upon Le Galopin as it was around the corner from where we were staying... read some good things and managed to get a table for an early sitting. The food was seasonal, very well put together and innovative -... More

our first dinner in this restaurant, of 2010 Top Chef winner Romain Tischenko, located in a more and more trendy becoming 10th arrondissement, was definitely a surprisingly different experience … a small place (about 20 seats) on a corner with big windows and open kitchen … 46 € for a 7 course menu - no choice but you are asked... I found Le Galopin on Trip Advisor when looking for a decent place to eat last weekend in Paris with my husband for our weekend away. Le Galopin serves a 7 course menu for 46 Euro which consists of 2 amuse bouches, 1 started, 1 fish main, 1 meat main and 2 desserts. Every dish was fantastic and a good... More

Found this restaurant via the excellent Paris By Mouth food blog, and we were not disappointed. The single set 7 course menu is an excellent idea, as it enables the kitchen to concentrate on producing excellent food, rather than trying to create too many different dishes. It also pushes the diner to eat and try dishes that perhaps they would... More

When we first started eating in France thirty years ago, gourmet food seemed to be defined by extra salt and butterfat. Then the chefs put down their Gauloises, and started fretting about their HDL's, and things changed, and we were delighted by a fresh take on cooking, and new explorations of ingredients and cooking techniques. But has the pendulum swung... More

Fantastic small french gastronomical restaurant on place St. Mathe, not for from the Buttes Chaumont parc and the canal St. Martin. This is the restaurant of Romain Tischenko, the winner of a french culinary show (TopChef). The food is fantastic, service excellent, food fresh, everything was perfect. The chef is also very friendly. The restaurant is also very affordable, 44... More

Trust me this is a lovely restaurant. I have eaten here several times and it is highly recommended by my french colleagues. This Saturday it was again very busy but the service was top standard and professional. It is one of the few good restaurants to have a set menu on a Saturday evening and at 32 euros for 3... More

I would recommend making reservations in advance at this great little local foodie spot. The seven course tasting menu which changes daily was divine without being fussy. The cold carrot soup with fish roe and octopus was amazing. Nothing was too salty, the portions are significant given the number of courses. The wine list could have been a bit deeper... More

Calling two days in advance, we were able to reserve a table for two on a Saturday night in August just before the restaurant closed for its annual vacation. The seven-course meal (44 euros for the set menu) was delicious and intriguing from start to finish. Each dish delivered intriguing flavor combinations, spot-on execution, and artful plating. In keeping with... More
