Even though it doesn't have a Michelin star the whole experience was top quality. It was more relaxed than most Michelin restaurants which suited us perfectly and after eating at la fourchette du printemps the night before we preferred la Galopin! Who needs stars! Very highly recommended!!

This is NOT a smart, chic Paris restaurant! It is very simple, honest and superb (maybe "bohemian". Several of the walls are undecorated, even unplastered, the waiters are earnest young men in tee shirts and jeans, the menu is hand written and there is no choice. A tasting menu at €45 is full of fresh, new ideas, each being a... More

Having reviewed a lot of blogs I had booked this before leaving UK. They phoned to make sure I was coming - I confirmed my arrival at 20:30 - they made it clear that 20:00 would be better (for them). You can see where the restaurant is from other reviews all of which seem to be very positive. All of... More

Le Galopin is one of those restaurants I will compare all the future restaurants I eat in with. It's a tasting menu where they use all the most seasonal ingredients and cook them to perfection. All the plates are just the right size and the amount of flavor they each contain is surreal. The atmosphere is nice and cosy and... More

this restaurant was suggested to us by our hotel, and we couldn't have been more delighted. They have a single menu each evening, but the food is fresh, and tenderly prepared and likely you will have things to eat you may not have ever thought to order. Well worth the trip to this slightly out of the way location.

Loved this place. It is a traditional Parisienne bistrot, high end, dark wood and red leather, but this place sets itself apart in two ways. First, the food. Superb. The gigot of lamb was melt in the mouth, and all the food was a visual feast as well. And second, the service. There is something special going on in Le... More

It was a great experience going to a neighborhood we might not otherwise have visited to try this charming restaurant. The food was creative. I was nervous about a few of the dishes but am glad I didn't turn anything down (even though it's a set menu, the staff is willing to work with you if you want to avoid... More

Four of us had dinner here a few nights ago and we all left quite amazed. As long as you are OK with a set menu, the cuisine is very creative with the use of many different herbs and flavors. One salad with tomatillos literally blew us all away, it was literally outstanding. Staff is very young but very professional.... More

Recently visited Le Galopin for my girlfriend's birthday during a short stay in Paris. I had booked our table back in the UK, on the back of several strong internet reviews, and can safely say that I am so glad I took the leap of faith and chose here! Located in the 10eme, the area had a real 'local' feel... More

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here after reading many good reviews. The wine was delicious and resaonably-priced and I was delighted by the emphasis on vegatbles during many of the courses. The subway ride and walk were easy from the more tourist-packed areas. Visitors to Paris-dont shy away from thos restaurant or others in this neighbourhood!
