Unpretentious, authentic & delicious food

Had a quick supper here with a colleague on a Monday night, after reading other reviews - how right they are: The staff could not have been more welcoming. Although the dining room is small, tables are not cramped and there is a very charming, cosy atmosphere. The food is delicious - a real... read more

Went here for my fiancées birthday, based on all the positive tripadvisor reviews and we weren't disappointed! Food is hearty and the chef even came out to say hello! Very popular with English speaking folk so there is an English menu and English speaking staff if you are worried about that sort of thing with the language barrier (we aren't!)... More

Despite having visited the area several times in the past, we had never discovered this restaurant until we just happened to walk past when returning to our hotel. We were lucky to get the last available table that evening. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere lively and the food excellent. The charcuterie plate was enormous and certainly would have... We have dined here several times over the years and have always had a pleasant experience. This time was no exception. The service was excellent as well as the dishes and preparation. If you are looking for a moderately priced restaurant with a good menu, give it a try.

This must be the best Charcuterie plate in Paris. It was enough for a meal but we weren't about to miss out on the Crispy Duck. The prices ,wine and service were superb

Despite wanting to visit for some time, I only managed to visit for lunch today. Now the question is, how soon can I return? I had a delicious menu du jour following a very warm welcome and excellent service throughout. There were a range of diners from business people lunching to couples who were obviously regulars & welcomed with open... More

Came here right after landing in Paris, because I read on TripAdvisor about the place and our hotel was close. It was a dinner I will remember! Had 3 courses and vine - loved everything! This restaurant has to be a highlight of Paris!

Laurent is the most gracious host we have encountered in Paris, making us feel welcome each time we return to this excellent, traditional bistro in the 7th Arrondissement, at the foot of Rue Cler. Whether the menu of the day is offering boar stew or the most delicate fish dishes, the food is always delicious. The confit de canard (duck)... More

As you walk in, you are greeted warmly as if you are long time friends. The food was excellent. I had the steak with shallot and my husband had the duck. Both excellent! The chocolate sponge cake for dessert was rich and lovely. We will be back!

My question is simply, my answer is even more simple, YES. We visited this place first evening in Paris, after Reading reviews here, we were a bit lucky, that we Got a table, we had not reserved in advance, which seems like a good idea. We had one stuffed cabbage, which were tender and soft and very tasty. I had... More
