Two meals lunch and dinner. Both were incredible however the evening meal was a bit rushed. Felt like they wanted to turn the table which is undertandable given line outside. Food was inventive and flavorful, unique dishes. Foie gras to die for.

You have to go in with the right attitude in this place. As another reviewer noted, this place is now all jacked up with tourists, so it's trying to accommodate all these extra people, but that's a hard thing for a small restaurant to do. We ate here twice, both times nailed the timing to ensure a nice outdoor table... More

This very small restaurant is a gem in Paris, we had a most memorable meal, with blue lobster which was incredible! Service was great, and the cheese tray was to die for! The chef prepares a different menu every night, so it is always a surprise. it is a very hard table to get, but definitely worth it! You can... More

We never miss going here when in Paris. You will 100% have to wait in line... but not too long. It is the only line we will stand in. If you give your name to the host, go wait next door at "Avant Comptoir" their "sister" restaurant. A narrow "deli" type place with the most unique French "tapas" you can... More

Good food but you will have difficulties digesting the long wait to get a table and the 1980's french service ( you know the one where they make you feel like s..t because you're not local)

My husband and I dined here recently on our last night in Paris. We were guests of the hotel, therefore we were able to reserve a very nice table on the inside facing the street. We were seated next to another couple staying in the hotel, so it seems maybe hotel guests get the best tables? The food was delicious... More

What it boils down to is if you are a good person/traveler you will think this is a good restaurant; if you are an entitled traveler with little self awareness you're going to be frustrated and the experience is going to detract form the food, which is actually quite good. Listen, you're coming here because Anthony Bourdain came here and... More

If I were rating this restaurant on food alone it would be a 4/5 stars and it would be pushing five. The food was really well prepared, excellently presented and typically French. My only criticism of the food is that it didn't take enough risks...the menu is very standard...the sort of menu you can find in any higher bracket restaurant... More

I read good rumors about this place from people who know the best eating places in Paris. Its not easy to get a table in evenings..but if you go 12 for lunch you will normal get a table. I went and at 12 it was a line up outside and very soon we all got a table. And it was... More

We eat here all the time. It's busy and crazy but wonderful and well done! Crowded, but lots of attention is bestowed on you and the wine and food are superb. Go for the cheese tray!
