My friends and I ate lunch here and enjoyed our soups (cream of asparagus and vegetable soup with foi gras) and croque monsieurs with chicken. The menu is only in French, but our waitress was able to answer all of our questions in English. Definitely get there early for lunch (they don't take lunch... read more

If you stay at the Hotel Relais St Germain you MUST have dinner at this restaurant. A true Parisian dining experience with great food and a real Paris vibe - pictures of Hemingway, Picasso etc dining there on the walls.

After watching Anthony Bourdain's ep on Paris, I really wanted to go here. Reservations are really hard to secure unless you are a guest at the hotel next door so we opted to go for lunch (opens at 12pm). Ordered escargot and the stuffed squid which was fresh and light. While my friend ordered the pork which was little salty... More

Reserve a table for their set menu at 8.30 PM on weekdays. We had a fantastic five course dinner including duck liver with octopus, fish with hazelnuts, veal with vongole and the most amazing cheese plate ever (that alone is worth the money), finished off with passion fruit profiteroles. At only €60 per person! Great and superfriendly staff. We will... More

We got there late (22ish) a Sunday evening and thought we'd get a table easily but had to wait outside for a while. Once inside, the place isn't super cosy but feels genuin and French. The meny, all in French, was quite advanced and because is was so late we only ordered some cheese and charcuteries and wine, which was... More

We have returned to Le Comptoir many times and the food and service is always superb. We like sitting outside, no matter the weather. The food is always well prepared, although this isn't the place if you are looking for innovative dishes.

Loved it. My favorite meal while we were in Paris. Every course was impeccable. Loved the wine, service was great. Wish we could go back again!

When you want great food, come to Le Comptoir. The quality of the food is the highest; the presentation is beautiful and the taste, outrageous. It's always full so there is not a lot of space between you and the next table. It's Paris -- I think one of the best things you can do at a restaurant is meet... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
