Delicious dining

Great meal...loved the escargot. The lamb was delicious but cold and they do not offer menus in English so it can be a little difficult to make an educated decision on the vast menu offered.

We wandered into the neighbourhood and asked a local where he would reccommend nearby. This darling of a place was his suggestion and he was right on the ball. The food was amazing.

The now-famous Yves Camdeborde bistro certainly did not disappoint! We managed to secure a table for 4 for lunch on a Friday by arriving at 11:40am and waited on line (restaurant opens at 12 noon). There were already 5 people in front of us (The place has about 40 seats). The string bean salad with fois gras was excellent, as... More

We had just arrived in Paris and had this as a recommendation from our hotel up the road and a sommelier from one of our favorite restaurants in Sydney. It certainly lived up to it's reputation. Great food, service and people watching....perfect Parisian experience.

Fortunately, we had just arrived in Paris and were jet lagged and hungry - so we went for dinner at around 6pm... By 7pm there was a queue out the front of the venue. Service is efficient and friendly - the wait staff speak both French and English. The food - is deliciously fresh and of high quality! If you... More

Reserved a table for their set menu at 8.30 PM on weekdays. We had a fantastic five course dinner The quality of the food is the highest; the presentation is beautiful and the taste, outrageous. Incredible cheese plate and a lot of nice wines

First time at Le Comptoir although it has been open for many years and we used to drive through Paris for Y. Camdeborde's cuisine when he was still at La Régalade in the south of the city. I must say I left with a mixed sentiment. The food was good but not memorable (one month later, I remember my wife's... More

We go every summer. It's a very French experience sitting outside and watching everyone go by while enjoying great food. It's hard to get a table but even the French line up and wait as you cannot get a reservation unless you are staying at the adjoining hotel. Everything we have eaten we have enjoyed - lamb, fish, pate, salads... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
