Very good. Not great

Came here based on reviews, recommendations and the world renown chef Chef Yves Camdeborde. We both had the 5 course price fixe menu. The ceviche starter was good, may 3& a half stars food. The octopus entree was a 5 star piece with an amazing pesto flavored with herbs and ?? The main veal with a... read more

This is a very special restaurant with amazing french food. The quality of the food produced requires great technical skill in the kitchen, our problem is that we went on a "special" night when the menu was almost totally offal....I am not a fan of offal, tripe etc. so I was finding it difficult to finish my dishes. We were... More

During my one month French course I ate at this place a few times. The food is good without a doubt. But....the succes of this place made the staff stressed, unfriendly and very very impatient. One of the girls, I guess the daughter of the owner, was really rude and unpolite. I saw her making fun of clients and my... More

A great little place difficult to reserve unless you are staying in the hotel (which we did). Unusual items and moderately priced it is a tiny place in the best area of Paris. We have been there twice and we intend to go back. Not for those who are unadventurous!! Menu in French with no translations.

This place is awesome! The food is great. Make sure to bring your french to english dictionary because the menu is only in French. The staff speak English but because it is busy they aren't going to read the menu to you. get there by 11:45 if you want to get a table for the 12:00 opening. Otherwise get there... More

Have been to this gem before and it was terrific yet again. Very simple, old school and yummy. A great place to people watch and eat.

We are from foodie town USA and had to visit this place for lunch. We were there at noon on Saturday and were able to get in the first seating. Others had to wait for a long time and they don't take your number and text you when your table is ready here, like we are accustomed to in the... More

I've been here 3 times and food is always incredible. It may seem like a normal Parisian "bistro", but there's a serious chef in the kitchen. I always get there after 3 pm, so as to avoid the crowds. Good service, good wine and the most amazing food!

We were lucky to get a table for four without waiting in line during lunch time. I had the best burratina in town. Wine in 50cl pitchers is priced better than in bottles. Service was good, also we liked the atmosphere of the place.

This is a St. Germain stalwart. On a busy street, this place is always packed, noon and night. The food is good, honest French bistro fare. The wine list is solid. Packed with tourists as well as some locals—Catherine Deneuve lives nearby and eats there sometimes. They don't always take reservations so have a Plan B or be prepared to... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
