We had a 9pm booking on a Monday night right at the end of March. We arrived on the dot and were seated right away. Very friendly, very welcoming. There was a nice buzz about the place, nearly all locals in couples and groups. The food was really good. Great tastes, well cooked and good portions. The wine list is... More

The food was as advertised, great, and the folks there were nice. Sat us 20 min early before the published opening time as we misjudged the walk over. This was our first dinning experience having flown in that day form the U.S.. So, this was our first "Parisian" dinning experience. I could not find a course out of place and... More

We were a little early arriving for our 7.30 pm booking and, along with a few other people, waited outside for the restaurant to open at 7.30 pm. However, once the doors were opened, we were welcomed in like old friends and immediately we felt relaxed and at home. We enjoyed our two courses very much, there were unusual combinations... More

A simply stunning supper at Le Buisson Ardent on the edge of the 5th - one of the very best meals in Paris. We booked in advance over the phone, which was essential, as even on a Monday evening (17th Feb), this charming restaurant was packed with local couples and groups of Parisians enjoying their evening out. We were welcomed... More

We were welcomed from the beginning. The small, cosy atmosphere was lovely and the waiters were very helpful and friendly. The food looked amazing and tasted even better! It was definitely my favourite meal in Paris and I long to go back again!

We stumbled across Le Buisson Ardent after a lengthy search for somewhere in the Latin Quarter which was open on a Sunday. The menu is limited but creative and very tasty. It's not cheap (so loses a star on value) but overall very enjoyable.

New/chef owner Arnaud Vansanien has really raised the bar ! This is one of the oldest bistros in town..beautiful murals on walls. Chef has completely revamped menu. Noix St Jacques served over sweet potatoes, leg of lamb all great. Must order the "chocolate soup" for dessert, don't ask, just enjoy. And they are on la fourcette.com . Worth it even... More

Finding good but affordable French food in Paris is surprisingly difficult. You need to follow a number of rules, one of which is "never eat in a restaurant with a good view". The Buisson Ardent has a view of the Pierre and Marie Curie University, which can best be described as "a monstrous carbuncle on the otherwise unblemished face of... More

Compared to some other meals in a similar price bracket we had in Paris over 4 days, Le Buisson Ardent did serve up very good food, but we found better. Still, nothing to really complain about so would recommend - just being a bit picky I guess. Staff try hard and they have an interesting menu. So give it a... More

Such amazing taste, amazing service, amazing value for money - a restaurant which brings the cut throat competitive nature of Parisian culinary to the fore! For 40 euros you get 3 Michelin star courses (how they are not Michelin star I don't know) but this is hands down the most honest, clear, bold cooking I have ever tasted at amazing... More
