This is a good solid choice for an evening of reliable food. It is in a good location, easily accessible though not in the tourist trap centre. The welcome was warm and the service efficient and friendly. Lovely amuse bouche of nicely flavoured creamy soup. Wine choices were interesting, not a large selection but well chosen and affordable. Food was... More

The front of the restaurant is atmospheric in the evening but very crowded. As we wanted a bit more privacy and space the helpful waiter gave us a table at the back of the restaurant. We had some very well executed classic dishes (duck with chocolate sauce and some kind of pot au feu with wonderful crunchy vegetables and bone... More

Buisson Ardent is a good example of the current trend of taking the traditional bistro repertoire and tweaking and expanding it to deliver a fresher experience while still paying homage to the bistro tradition. The single room is typical bistro; crowded tables with about thirty covers, pleasantly bright and with a team of three friendly staff expertly handling the nearly... More

Bistro-Gastronomie : Basically a fancy term to describe the idea of revisiting typical french cuisine that you can find in any bistro in paris, from a gastronomic point of view, focusing on quality and presentation. I've to say, that this restaurant does it quite well. The appetizer (a creamy cheese with spelt home made crackers) was good, well assembled, but... More

Le Buisson Ardent, which means ‘Burning Bush’, from the biblical term, is a thoroughly contemporary restaurant in terms of food. Very good quality, and not too pricey. If you are a serious foody, as we are, you will love your dinner at Le Buisson Ardent. The selection is decent and you will find it difficult to choose from the excellent... More

it is sometimes a challenge to find a good location for lunch on a Sunday in Paris due to the early closing or indeed not being open at all. Le Buisson Ardent close to the Sorbonne area and Seine was excellent. Fixed price three course interesting menu with Duckling, Veal in a caserole Salmon, Soup, with three optiions for each... More

Trip advisor did not fail us again... but without a reservation we sat on the patio as a cold front blew through. The Veal was an exceptional choice served in a cast iron pot like a stew on this cool night! Service was excellent as well and the desert sublime. Call ahead for reservations if temps below 60 degrees! But... More
