Description: This bistro is a concept-restaurant that honors French cooking and hospitality with an all-inclusive 3 courses, house aperitif, half bottle of wine each and coffee for €36 per person. Bistro du 17eme restaurant in Paris near the Place du Marechal Juin is a typically Parisian brasserie with great style and ambience. Their menu includes the highlights of traditional French cuisine: cassolette of a dozen snails, roast rack of lamb with rosemary jus and gratin potatoes, Grand Marnier flambeed crepes. The elegant decor recalls the graceful 1930s with a glassed-in terrace, oil still lifes, panelled walls, Chesterfield banquettes, niches with nubile statuary. Service is devoted and the experience tres typique.

We use happened to walk past this restaurant and it looked so nice on the pavement that we decided to have dinner. The menu is reasonably good value at 44 euros p. p. for 3 courses plus a bottle of wine . After sitting down it took over 20 minutes to be offered a drink and see a menu. The... More

With restaurant prices in Paris getting very expensive its good to come across a menu that has a fixed price and includes aperitif, wine and coffee. The food is all very reasonable, perhaps not the best in France but very good value. We certainly had no complaints about the food or service and had a very enjoyable evening. Would certainly... Apparently this is a typical French bistro but the experience was a little disappointing. There were 5 of us and we wanted to sit away from the other diners which was refused as they were short of staff. This shortage impacted on the evening as, although the staff were pleasant and helpful, there were long delays with the food, with... More

We've been to this restaurant many times over the past 14 years, returning this time (after a couple of years) to find revamped decor, but in essence still the Bistro 17eme we remember with the Prix Compris menu including very drinkable wines. Excellent service from the waiters, and most enjoyable food. The foie gras was as usual excellent, and the... More

We have been many times to this restaurant when it was named Bistrot du XVII . It was very nice, good servings, a reasonable wine list and a nice meal for the price. Now, it became more expensive, the maintenance of the room is not good, and also broken places. Food was cold, not even close to what it was... More

Trying to find a nice restaurant for dinner in Paris for my wife and I who don't speak French was challenging and this night my mother stayed at the apartment to watch the kids so we could enjoy a night out. We just happened upon this place and were pleasantly surprised. Even without reservations (which I wouldn't do again) they... More

This restaurant is amazing! My first visit here was on a business trip and is a little gem, I advise that you book in advance because it gets very busy. The staff are very welcoming and speak a variety of languages. The staff produced English menus to help us decide what to eat and also helped us choose. The food... More

What a great night out and all thanks to the concept of the Le Grand Bistro and the maître'd, Philipos who looked after us with a very professional manner. They offer a fixed menu at 44 euros consisting of a Bellini, 4 courses (with choice), wine and coffee. I have to add that the decor and presentation of the restaurant... More

It took 90 minutes after our arrival for the main course to arrive. We ordered within 10 minutes of arrival and the wine arrived fairly promptly--but the food? The couple next to us were locals and they commented on the incredible delay. When the food arrived, it was OK but nothing special. Taking a risk, we then ordered dessert. That... More

Great service. The staff was very professional and serviceminded. The guy that served us spoke english, and when he could not translate a dish he went out to the kitchen to get it so that he could show us. The food was absolutely perfect, I took sole with mash potatoes, and for desert creme brulee.
