This bistro is a concept-restaurant that honors French cooking and hospitality with an all-inclusive 3 courses, house aperitif, half bottle of wine each and coffee for €44 per person. Bistro du 17eme restaurant in Paris near the Place du Marechal Juin is a typically Parisian brasserie with great style and ambience. Their menu includes the highlights of traditional French cuisine: cassolette of a dozen snails, roast rack of lamb with rosemary jus and gratin potatoes, Grand Marnier flambeed crepes. The elegant decor recalls the graceful 1930s with a glassed-in terrace, Service is devoted and the experience tres typique.

44euro all-inclusive dinner. I had escargot, steak aubrac with frite and chocolate cake. Wife had artichokes with salmon, scallop risotto and some kind of cheese cake. Wine was good. Service was extremely easy for people with limited or no French, like us. Great setting. Recommend!

Living just around the corner this used to be our favourite restaurant in Paris. However it started its decline about 4 years ago when a different generation of the family took over the running of it. From a sense of loyalty we decided to give it one more go last week; What a mistake that was. No ambiance as it... More

Nice restaurant, good food, posh feelling, quality service, not very crowded, but still many people were eating and enjoying the place.

Le Grand bistro 17 is one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. I have come here many times over the years when I am on a business trip to Paris. For 45 euro you get a choice of appetizer, entree, dessert, and a bottle of wine. Many great choices and all in all, a great dining experience.

Dining with kids is not easy. This waiter was extremely helpful with iPad English menus and friendly attitude . Service was a bit slower but the desserts were especially great. French food with usual excellent decorations. Value is average but this may be classed as Fine Dining in a bistro . We did not use alcohol but there were good... More

I've used this restaurant before and really looked forward to returning. For €44, the fixed price menu is good value with 3 courses, aperitif and wine included. However, the food quality can be variable... my steak was overcooked and tough, whereas my friend's duck was tres bien. Staff were OK but the maitre'd on duty was a bit snotty; showed... More

The food was good. Not salty at all very healthy. At our table two people took care of us. Thin nice guy and over weight not good mood woman then I realized our experience eventually depends on WHO is serving you. The guy was so attentive but the woman we had to ask her many times plus she didn't get... More

A coworker and I chose this place because it was the top traditional French Tripadvisor place we could pay with AmEx around our hotel at the 17eme. The place is really good looking, with great, old-fashioned decor with ultra-modern touches (iPad menu anyone?) The highlight of this place is the 44 EUR all-inclusive menu, consisting of 3 course-mail, a bottle... More
