I love south-western french cuisine: fois gras, ducks, gooses and good red wines. So this iittle and typical bistro is the right place for me. and it happens to be in my district. Just amazing! Generous and tasty courses for super fair price (paid 17E for the Magret de canard with fois gras and puree de pomme). No worries they serve... More

Bistro des Oies is located in the colorful Saint Martin Canal area. For the neighborhood and for Paris in general, the price of its three-course menu is very reasonable. The fixed-price menu includes a choice of approximately six entrees, seven plats, and five desserts. Overall, the food was quite good, especially the dishes accompanied by piping hot frites. The wine... More

When I was last in Paris with my family I made sure I had my goose cravings settled. Obviously that meant that I practically had goose liver and goose/duck meat at every meal, and therefore I will admit here... it was a little bit of a blur, what with all that stuffing my face. But I do remember that this... More

What an adorable and cozy place. It was packed the night we went and the menu is brought to you on a chalk board to your table. The bistro is squeezed between two streets so you can come in via one door on one street and exit onto the other street. The food is very French country - great pate,... More

Not reinventing the wheel, but tasty dishes prepared simply but carefully, in a room that borders on kitsch but stays on the 'personality' side of that line. 24 euro prix frixe. Classic but delicious desserts (top marks for creme brûlée) and a competent and, if the timing is right, friendly staff. For what it's worth, it's in a fabulous part... More

The place has been around for ages and is still great. Wines and food are delicious. Sadly prices have gone up quite a bit. And even if weekends are for family, it's sad to have to rush there on weekdays to enjoy un magret and some foie gras.
