Fine option for dinner in the centre of Paris

fine place near the Opera and Galeries Lafayette. The staff is nice and English speaking. For ± 40 euro you can get main dish, dessert or starter + vine. I would suggest local Foie gras - really good. Also - better to book in advance as at the evening the place is full.

From the look of the restaurant, you will feel that this could deliver a genuine Paris bistro experience. The decor is nice and typical for Paris. However, the kitchen does not deliver on expectations and the service falls short in several areas. If you go here for a quick lunch / afternoon snack it may be better, but as the... More

Poor service, the waitress kept forgetting to bring all the drinks, the starting bread came after the dishes because again it was forgotten. Average food, below expectations.

I have eaten here a dozen times. Food is always good and it is so typically Parisian bistro style. You are seated with a glass of bubbly or kier royale, get your 3 courses plus a bottle of wine. Its a great value and the locals know it and flood here late into the night. A bit off the beaten... More

We are trying to eat at this restaurant every time we come to Paris (3 out of 5 times so far, between 2012 and 2014), trying something different from the menu each time. The food is very affordable (39 € for three courses, plus half a bottle of wine, kir and coffee), quality is excellent, and the staff is always... More

I visited this restaurant with a friend on a strong recommendation and had been really looking forward to it. We had the set menu for €41 which seemed to be a good choice but it didn't live up to our expectations at all! The service was poor, a bottle of wine which was included in the price of the meal... Also heard of this "good" place, however I think it went bad. We had the two meal course (appetizer+main or main+dessert). We went for steak bearnaise and crepes suzette. This was mediocre. The beef cut was bad, the fries where overcooked, the crepes where overpoored with Grand Marnier forgetting the very important fresh orange (if traditional but also ice cream,... More

We settled for the fixad price menu of €41 and was still surprised that it ended on that price, we got 3 really nice disken, an aperitif, a bottle of wine to share and coffee. We could chose between 10 different entrees, main courses and desserts. Our créme brulée came in on fire, spectacular!

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
