We had just checked into our hotel after having traveled from Basel, Switzerland and were looking forward to a nice dinner for our first meal in Paris! (We were traveling for our 30th Wedding Anniversary) We asked for a recommendation from the front desk and were told Bistro des Deux Theatres would be a good choice. We had done some... More

Granted they were slammed, but the service was terrible. Our waiter was distracted and missed our starter order altogether and didn't pour our wine - he just left the bottle on the table after opening it. (At another restaurant, a server told us "let me do my job" when we tried to pour our own water.) I had scallops with... More

I have been traveling for two weeks and my husband and I have rated this the worst meal we have had (maybe ever)! The wine was horrible and I could not even cut my meat. No amount of atmosphere could make up for the food.

On arriving in Paris, my boyfriend and I promised ourselves that we would not make the dreaded mistake of falling into a tourist trap. So what do we do? Exactly that. (Twice I might add). After a long day of sightseeing, our desperation to sit down and relieve our sore feet drove us into Bistro des Deux Theatres. On first... More

The Bistro is set close to several Paris theatres in the 9th Arrondissement. It has an attractive exterior which beckons you in. The restaurant seemed busy every evening and has many Parisians going there for dinner along with the tourists. We made sure we got there when it opened at 7pm as soon after the place was full. The interior... More

Recently visited this fabulous bistro. The food was wonderful and the staff were brilliant. It was so good we went back a second time. In a city that boasts such an array of cuisine we were very impressed with this place.

We had the menu for 41 € per person which included a starter, main course, dessert and half a bottle of wine per person. The selection was very good and there was something for every palate. Amongst us we had three different starters, three different main courses and two different desserts. All of it was very good and fresh. Being... More

My wife and me decided to "give it a try", on our saturday evening walk back from Montmartre to the Opéra area. The weather was nice and the open windows offered an inviting look into what, at first sight, looked like a cosy restaurant. Unfortunately, the reality was quite different. As the small backpack that we’re carrying must have revealed... More

A restaurant wich is not filled with tourists but rather the locals. The staff was very friendly. Charming and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered aguillettes de canard for dinner and strawberry soup for dessert, both were good.

Total rip-off, the food is OK, the decor is plagued by this horrendous 80s fresco, and above all they are blatantly trumping tourists. - the wine bottle was brought uncorked, a telling sign that it did not contain the original wine but had been refilled in the kitchen with some cheap wine. - we asked for sparkling water and were...
