Not great

We ate here on the 14th July, due mainly to the fact that we had not booked anywhere and were struggling to find somewhere to eat before the fireworks. I had looked at the trip advisor reviews and thought it did not seem great but we had little choice. To be fair, the restaurant was really... read more

We two couples visited on the recommendation of friends in the States. What a delight!! Welcoming cocktail, bottles of wine, a dozen of the fattest most wonderfully garliced snails to start things off, terrific scallops wonderfully done, flaming crepes and carmelized custard deserts--- all part of a 44 EURO fixed price dinner. When the bill came, thought it was a... More

I love this neighborhood place because for the price you get value for money. I am choosy what I eat - because the menu is a good deal, I do not expect copious amounts, or fabulous dishes. However, the traditional standbys are well executed, the wine choices for included bottles are not bad, and I like it that the aperitif... More

My friends and I decided to spend the evening in Le Grande Bistro in order to celebrate one of the groups' 50th birthday. We had walked past earlier in the day and were 'lucky' enough to get a cancellation when we asked our hotel to call and book for us. When we walked in, we were left standing at the... More

Excellent, old fashioned, very, very French! Not for wet-behind-the-years nubie "foodies," but for those of us who value tried and true old world French charm. Sitting at a white table clothed secluded table for two, it is 2015 but could very well be 1905, menu the same, quality the same, why Paris is Paris. Very little "americain" spoken here, but... Great atmosphere, good food, wonderful value in the fixed price menu. Wine was exceptional, escargot were good, and the desserts the best.

Discovered this restaurant by chance...it is located near the Duroc Metro stop on the 10 line. Indoor and outdoor seating. Terrific service which is topped by the outstanding meal. We had the prix fix Eur 29 meal.....starter and main .....great choices. The complete meal includes wine ...it is Eur 44.... But well worth it. Our waiter Ernst was great.....was our... More

The Signature menus were good value. One gets an aperitif, a bottle of wine between 2, and a 3 course meal with amuse bouche for 44Euro. The quality of the food and wine for this price in Paris, with the friendly service made this a most enjoyable evening. It's worth booking at the weekend, although they weren't full as France... Table reserved. When we enter the place it was fairly deserted, The Maître d'Hotel looked at us if we were something the cat had dragged in. He, sourly, showed us a table, very close to a lone person, he could have places us better. He gave us the menus, on tablets. It felt like being in Mc Donalds. by clicking... More
