A Parisian icon

Tres chic surroundings, equally chic macarons. If dining in, take the upstairs dining area. Took a box of macarons home, but macarons do not travel well. Best consuming those little gems within the premises.

Great macaroon - famous for a reason. Very French. There is usually a long line to get in which may be a bit off putting at first.

I guess we got trapped in the tourist trap. Yes, this name has been around since the 1800's, but the prices have managed to grow faster over time. Setting was "Chinese quaint" but that did not make up for the cost of two coffee au lait and two pastries. Live and learn.

We stopped in this quaint little place in St. Germaine to try their macaroons which are ridiculously expensive. We bought 6 that they placed in a small decorative box. 17. Euros seems a bit pricey for this. We saw them at another competitor for 11. Euros. This facility was quite lovely, with a restaurant in the back serving lots of... More

No trip to Paris is complete without a trip here. Every year my daughter and I make a weekend trip to Paris .... Next trip in May....and this is the VERY FIRST place we go. YUM the pastries are to die for. We are not macaroon people but the pastries..... Oh joy! We even bring back a box of pastries....... More

All of my traveler friends that have been before me told me not to bother going to Laduree. Their claim is that there are better macarons elsewhere. Maybe there are, but I'm glad I didn't listen! It's an adorable pastry shop, the employees were wonderful (the woman who helped us even gave my children a free cookie, and took the... More

The chain proposes a series of retail and restaurant places selling classical dishes in a design environment that looks to snobbish for me. The products are really good and the service equally good. I just feel that targeted customers are not the people I associate with.

It's hard to miss the crowds heading to Laduree on the Champs Élysées. The reputation of the famous patisserie is now worldwide and the pastries are delicious. Prices are high but considering the location and beautiful interior surroundings it comes as no surprise. Only thing that let the place down is the service which is a little slow and inattentive... Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
