Paris famous macaroon

Read a lot of good review about this cafe. Its really nice and taste is not too sweet. Price for macaroon is 2euro each. Cant keep long as it will melt. Can take it to enjoy at nearest cafe.

I spent a week in Paris in the beginning of July with family and eagerly planned a late afternoon/ early evening tea at Laduree with my 10 and 7 year old goddaughters. Had read good reviews and particularly had the Rue Jacob location recommended (there are other locations in Paris). We were told by phone that tea was served until... More

If you plan on dining...don't! Although dining in the exquisite Tea Room was a highlight the meals themselves were aweful and very, very expensive. 28 euros for an arugula salad with hardly any dressing and paper thin, grilled vegetables. 24 euros for an omelette that was tasteless and 25 euros for mini burgers that were as plain as an empty... There was a line to get your macarons. These light as air confections are not given away (19E for a cute box of eight). But they are beautiful and in many flavors, such as orange blossom, ginger, salted caramel, pistachio, passionfruit, etc. The Laduree macaron texture is excellent, and the balance of flavors is very good too. There is also... More

Macaroons were fine but oh my god the waitress was so rude, they didn't ask for our order for ages and when they did they banged down the table settings and grunted. I thought to myself 'are we underdressed' but I knew we weren't, were we not good enough to eat in this 'cafe' but the bottom line is that... More

Wanted to see what the hype was! If you're planning on saving these to bring back home, then beware that it won't look like how you bought them. I would recommended buying a small box just so you can eat it all of yourself (and maybe your travel buddy). I don't think it's worth to bring back home because it... More

Stop and get a box. However, don't just stop in a wait in line for a box, go to the bar and sit down. Have a drink, have a delicious pistachio macaron and take your time. Buy a multiple boxes.. because one box goes quick.

Just round the corner from where we stayed at St Germain. The rose petal macaroon was really good. The other flavors of the macaroon tried by the kids were good too.

Not like the kind of macaroon you get in the US. Wonderful treat. Great for afternoon tea or evening dinner.
