What can we say - Impeccable service, beautiful food and a marvelous view of the Seine and Notre Dame. If you appreciate French food and wine Tour d'Argent is very hard to surpass.

My father was Parisian and a gourmet. My whole life, every special meal was compared to La Tour d'Argent. The classic phrase was "C'est bon, mais c'est pas La Tour d'Argent" (It's good but it's not the Tour d'Argent). My father has passed away so I never had the opportunity to dine with him in this establishment, however, when my... More

Being a Chef and a Culinary Instructor for many years I have prepared many sauces, I have tasted many many sauces in the some of the finest restaurants around the world (Arzak, Joel Robuchon, Jean-Georges, Guy Savoy, etc.) . The sauce on my wife's Duck breast luncheon was the best sauce I have ever had! Ever! ( I had a... More

This is a review designed to guide Americans toward a good experience. Dined at La Tour in 1993, 2002 and more recently. Each time I arranged to have my friendly travel agent, selected because he is fluent in French, do the reservation. Over the phone, about 3 months in advance. They have trouble with American no-shows and merely askied me... More

This is probably the most related restaurant review in history - went here 3 years ago for my 21st but by the looks of the reviews, standards haven't dropped. This restaurant was absolutely first class. I couldn't fault it if I tried. Service was impeccable, food was outstanding, decor & ambiance excellent - perfection from start to finish. I shared... Our third lunchtime visit to La Tour d'Argent, and something that has become a regular and very special part of our holidays in France. The restaurant is very formal, but in a way that is a pleasure to be a part of rather than pretentious. The location is superb with views over the Seine and Notre Dame. Service is impeccable,... It's the second time that I organized a diner for 25 people at LTDA. It was again a great moment. Everything was perfect. The "Salon Privé" is a must when you want to organize this kind of diner .... The view is one of the most beautiful of Paris and if the food is great ... The service too! Thanks... More

Was traveling in France the last few weeks and had some amazing meals, and this was in the top experiences ever (Le Louis XV in Monte Carlo was very special as well). The service was excellent from the moment we walked in until we jumped in a cab to the Bristol. The view of Notre Dame from our window table... More

We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary on the 14th of June...we could not have selected better. The service was warm and attentive, the setting simply beautiful with a view on Notre-Dame, the meal was divine and the wine card beats the encyclopedie Lichine!!! The foie gras a la cuillere is to die for and the quenelles de brochets simply unbelievable.... More

We booked well in advance (a necessity) for I wanted a window seat and the views across to Notre Dame are magnificent. I have taken my boat through Paris and to see the Seine from a different perspective was beautiful. The occasion was to celebrate the 40th anniversary of my joining my employers and they knew nothing about it! Opening... More
