Great food and value

We have dined here several times over recent visits and the food and service are consistently good. We enjoyed the roasts and seafood and the restaurant is well located in the gorgeous rue Christine in central Paris.

This restaurant was recommended quite highly, but I found the cuisine somewhat ordinary while a bit pricey.....in Paris you can do better very easily! Ron H.

La Rotisserie d’en Face was the third best, by some margin, of the three fine dining restaurants we tried within 100 metres. (The others being Kitchen Galerie- KGB and Le Christine). The food was middling good, although quite devoid of green vegetables. The service was OK, but occasionally incompetent (such as the wine waiter serving a kir royal and not... More

there are innumerable dining options in this area of paris but often times, it is up to the patron to choose wisely depending on his/her expectations. i dined here several years ago and again recently and can say it is a lovely small restaurant with peaceful atmosphere and relaxed surroundings. the menu has many choices and the food was superb.i... My husband and I had dinner here at the recommendation of the hotel for french cuisine in a casual atmosphere. We were not disappointed, The wait staff was very attentive, we loved the choices on the menu and the food was outstanding. I had the Coquilles St. Jacques and my husband had the rack of lamb. Mine was served with... More

We enjoyed our rotisserie chicken so much the first night that we went back again. The braised beef was also delicious. Very accommodating staff and a lovely environment.

Restaurant rankings on TripAdvisor can sometimes be difficult to rationalise. We set off with the intention of eating in a local bistro, ranked No. 734 in Paris, but found the decor somewhat downmarket and the menu very limited so, having finished our pre-dinner drinks, we decamped to the nearby Rotisserie d'en Face, rated nearly 2000 places lower. However, the ambience,... More

Courteous and patient service for a non-French speaker. They didn't charge me for a glass of wine I couldn't drink. The restaurant was quiet and elegant. Unfortunately, the food was dull. For that kind of money, there's better out there.

I wasted an embarrassing amount of my life debating whether or not we should eat dinner here. It was recommended by a friend who attended Cordon Bleu in Paris, but I needed to get my own intel before I could commit. The mixed TripAdvisor reviews made me nervous. I also wasn't impressed that their signature dish is roast chicken. (Side... More

Hidden in a back street off the main walk. This is a smartly presented restaurant serving classic French cuisine done well. It's a little expensive but would make a great place for a date night. As this is right in the heart of the main tourist area of Paris it speaks volumes that many of the clientele (while we were... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
