Classic smart French quaint restaurant

Hidden in a back street off the main walk. This is a smartly presented restaurant serving classic French cuisine done well. It's a little expensive but would make a great place for a date night. Best meal we had in Paris, also great value for money considering it's gourmet food and warm friendly service all that and happens a to be in the charming Saint Germain area.. Absolutely loved it!

We stay in Paris at a spot a short distance from this restaurant and eat there regularly. It's a middle of the road place with nice tables, well spaced, not too much noise, and good service and food. I recommend it.

A very warm comfortable restaurant, with tables well spaced so as not to crowd others. The food is classic, but without excessive sauces or a huge amount of ingredients. It was comfortable for me as a solo traveler, with attentive service and an excellent Dover sole.

We came to this restaurant with high expectations, having had a wonderful meal 12 years ago at another restaurant operated by the well known chef, Jacques Cagna. This restaurant, located in a charming neighborhood on the Left Bank, offers a casual atmosphere and creative cuisine, which was perfect for us on the evening we visited. I had a piece of... More

Tucked away on Rue Christine this tiny street offers several good spots. La Rotisserie accepted and honored our reservation on a busy night - attentive service, interesting and quite good menu --- the food and service were of high quality and pricing reasonable. Suggest reservations early in the day or evening. Lovely decor, too

Booked on-line, no problem. Table waiting when we arrived. A party of six and we tried dishes across the menu. Everyone very pleased with dishes - no exceptions (veggie thru fish to roast). One point of advice - the "signature" rotisserie chicken will not overly impress Brits used to Sunday roast (it's unusual for Paris but "so what" for Brits).... More

This is our third trip to Paris and tonight was our second visit to La Rotisserie d'en Face. It was highly recommended to us three years ago. The food is just sensational - the duck pate de fois gras is outstanding. Service is polite, friendly and warm. The food, decor, hospitality and ambience remind me of Union Square Cafe in... More

Small and very French menu. We're not foodies, but we certainly enjoyed our meals. My wife said her fillet of sole was perhaps the best she could remember having. Attentive service made the meal all the more enjoyable.

After a week of neighborhood bistros and brasseries, we found a nice choice for a more upscale, a little more modern, but still a French Paris dining experience. The attentive service was not rushed; our server somehow sensed when we were ready to order and when we were ready for each course. If the seasoning of our frog leg appetizer... More

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
