We heard this was a delicious restaurant and right by our hotel, and since we didn't need a reservation we tried it, but would not recommend it. The service was just OK, and every where else I ate in France over 10 days, we had delightful service. The chicken was just OK, not very much food and not very tender,... More

This was our first visit to this Jacques Cagna restaurant. We were drawn in by a fairly inventive menu, reasonably priced for what it offered. One of us had chou farci, a cabbage stuffed with duck and fois gras. A most unusal set of tastes, glad to have had but we'll try something different next time. The venison stew was... More

I'd say at best the dinner of poulet con pomme frite was ok. What I'd expect from a hotel. The dessert (soft cheese, creme, vanilla, currants) was amazing...really good! Recommend you go: for the dessert dish, yes. Otherwise, suggest another restaurant or dish.

Steered here by friends' recommendation, our expectations were high. But not met. Sure, the place is pleasant enough and filled with folks who appear to like good food. The wait staff was perfunctory but polite. The first problem was the bread -- warmed up multigrain flab with no discernible flavor and texture of mashed potato. The folks at the next... More

Why did we go there??? The place was ok to look at - nothing special. But the clientele looked local so we decided to go in and give it a try. The food was not very good and the service was the same as the food - not very good. I had the prix fix menu which looked good on... More

I had a very nice meal here when on a tourist trip. The menu contained french classics and the three different main dishes we tried were excellent. Service was very friendly and the menu was in both French and English.

We liked our dinner here. The food was very good and the service just great. The decoration is wonderful. We felt however that the food was too expensive to what it was, even compared to the other Paris restaurants we have been to.

This was our first trip to La Rotisserie d'en Face and it won't be my last. The chicken was tender and moist... the veal was excellent... the fried eggs were DELICIOUS and the scallops were sweet and tender. The carmel/walnut ice cream cake was the best desert. The fromage blanc was a close second. This out-of-the-way location on the fringe... More
