Excellent food..if a little lacking in atmosphere

This restaurant was recommended to us by friend and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and well prepared. I would definitely visit this restaurant again, when in Paris.

Chicken and mashed potatoes is my favourite dish a La Rotisserie d'en Face; I suggest to try. It seems that recently this restaurant is less crowded than usual and a bit undertone, but I like it a lot and I believe it is worth trying it.

We revisited the St. Germain area to eat at La Rotisserie d'en Face which happens to be located just across the small street from the wonderful Le Christine restaurant where we ate two days earlier. This restaurant was nearly as outstanding as Le Christine. My wife had Carpaccio de Haddock au citron vert and celery in a mayonnaise dressing as... More

Very welcoming staff who lead us straight to the second room away from the locals and then proceeded to seat all non French alongside us. We come to Paris to mingle with the Parisiennes not with other tourists. Meal was ok but in the context of a sterile environment it was disappointing. Very clean and good service but missing atmosphere.

This restaurant was started more than 20 years ago as the "second" restaurant of the (now deceased) chef Jacques Cagna, whose excellent "first" restaurant, Le Relais Louis XIII, was located around the corner. I ate at La Rotisserie d'en Face numerous times over the years, and particularly enjoyed the signature chicken dish. The restaurant was also quite a good value,... More

Paris is difficult to find a good restaurant no matter what anyone says... This one turned out OK, albeit it was expensive. Soup, sole and chocolate cake with whiskey for sore throat which has developed from plane! €150 for 2LOL

La Grenouille and l'escargot were delectable. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Staff was gracious, though this time around, our waiter was somewhat officious and aloof.

After a long day of museums and tours, we chose this cosy restaurant for its menu and convenience to our hotel. The food and service were excellent.

I started with pea soup with asparagus shavings that was delicious, and I loved the duck with citrus sauce which was zucchini pudding. My husband wasn't too excited about the fois gras, and the beef wasn't that special (similar to pot roast). He wish that he had what I had!

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
