The best of French Bistrot's

This is a must dinner for us when we come to Paris. Out in the 14th but we've yet to hear another American voice in the many times we've been here. You really get the feeling of a neighborhood French bistrot. Two weeks ago when we ate there Bruno was in the kitchen and we got to meet him. Great... read more

We ate here with adults only, I probably wouldn't take kids. The food was well done. The wine divine. The meal starts with a classic terrine (a large container) that you serve yourself from on yummy bread. Get rid of your ideas of American sterilization... bacteria is good for you. Share it around. Then I had the duck which was... More

We went there yesterday and it was a grat evening. The waiters where polite, helpfull and always smiling. They even helped out to translate the french menu. The food was delicious. We choose a three course menue and all was tasty, presented in a nice way and over all the dessert was just amazing. Best restaurant we could choose for... More

We visited La Regalade for the 4th time last week. We noticed some of the other recent comments - interesting. Who ever books a restaurant table in Paris before 7:30pm? Most in our experience will not take a reservation prior to this, and even then when we have done this are usually the first there. Unless of course they are... More

Booked dinner here based on TA reviews and was not disappointed. The snails were a welcome treat, and the souffle tastes better than it looks (if that's even possible!). Tables are very close together, however the army of chefs produced one of the best meals I have had this year/ Will definitely be returning.

This came highly recommended by local French person who my husband works with . We made reservations for 7pm on a Wednesday night. Arrived 6:45 thinking of having a cocktail but were greeted abruptly that they were not open until 7pm. We asked if we could just sit and wait and she said yes but she was very annoyed. We... More

OK I'm French, I live in Paris but I would like to say to you, tourists :), that this Restaurant is one of the most representative of the French gastronomy. Really! The atmosphere is great, the service perfect and the food is just excellent. A great experience. But you need to book...it is always crowded.

The pursuit of a near perfect Paris bistro is much like searching for unicorns. One rarely sees them and often mostly in the past. For us it would be Souseyrac and Chez Georges (2e) before it became part of a conglomerate. Still, we are tempted enough to ride the metro to the outer limits of the city to try places... More

You'll need a reservation, but La Regalade is worth the wait. This is a consistently outstanding local's restaurant with something for everyone. Don't miss it.

Started very well with squid-ink risotto and asparagus soup, then pork belly for me and bream for my wife. The bream was initially undercooked (for her at least) but asked for a bit more and came back perfect. I would also say in my opinion my mash potato had too much mustard (it was virtually a dip) and too strong... More
