We looked at many reviews on Tripadvisor and were delighted with La Maison du Jardin. The food was delicious. The wine suggestion was perfect and not too expensive. Lovely comfortable atmosphere. The service was just right - helpful without being obtrusive. Our American friends who had been in Paris for a few days before us said it was their favourite... more

We too chose this restaurant based on internet reviews and could not have been more happy. Food, service, ambience, everything in perfect harmony. The restaurant offers various starters, main dishes and desert at a unity price of 27 EUR for a two-course meal or 33 EUR (I think) for a 3-course meal. Given the quality of the food, this is... more

We tried this restaurant for my birthday dinner based on its high rating on TripAdvisor. For one thing, it's not really near the Luxembourg Gardens, so it's a bit of a misnomer. The food was decent; I had the specialty pastilla, which was duck (no longer lamb) inside a cocoon of filo. The duck was braised, almost stewed, and could... more

We had a whole list of restaurants we wanted to try on our visit to Paris, but after our first meal here, ended up eating here again instead. It is a very small place and we were lucky the first time to get in without reservations, but made them for the other nights. In my vision of Paris, this is... more

Could not fault the quality (and value) of the meal. Disappointed with the service and attitude of the head waiter - spent whole evening sulking & ignoring us because I had the nerve to send back drinks that he had made a mistake with (I am bilingual, so it was not a language thing). If you can accept the "Parisian... more

Our nearby hotel recommended La Maison du Jardin. Every selection we tried was perfectly prepared from fresh ingredients. My wife had Joue du Porc and I had the humbly-titled Piece de Boeuf -- both entrees were exceptional. Our dessert included the best crepe I've ever tasted. While La Maison is an intimate neighborhood place mainly filled with locals, we felt... more

Our hotel recommended this place and it may have been our best meal in Paris. The restaurant is small, intimate and warm. Reservations are necessary but we walked in at 8:30 PM on a Tuesday when we were told that is was "complet" and got a table right away. The food was delicious and the service is far from the... more

We made reservations for this restaurant for dinner and it was even necessary on a Monday evening. It's small and we were the only Americans in the place. But the server and greeter were both very kind and helpful. We had appetizers and entrees that were all delicious. And we also had a bottle of wine from the Loire Valley... more

When people asked me about my favorite moment during my trip to Paris, I mention my experience dining at this restaurant two weeks ago. We were in the middle of a long walk through Paris, heading to the Jardin du Luxemborg, when we decided to pop in here for lunch. We didn't have reservations, which was our mistake. Please call... more

What a quaint restaurant. It is very small with only a couple servers. Food/wine was great, loved the experience. more
