Very good

The food was very tasty. But was not impressed by some of the staff. Outside seating would have been wonderful get there early!

Very quickly worked out why some reviews mention that the service is a bit "iffy". The young man in the suit who welcomes you, "Julien"? establishes from the start how lucky you are to be dining in his restaurant. Nice suit, good coiffure, self awareness nil. The food is up market and pricey. Clientele largely Americans in Paris. But having... More

We love this place. Great gyros, fish and chips with Greek salad. We will be regulars here. Our next visit will be with friends as they are big fans also.

I had a business meal here just last night, and was really sad that i had to rush and talk about work. I am determined to come back with my other half and/or friends and enjoy a much longer, boozier meal! I had the "Bar Sauvage" which was the most wonderful bass ever, with a lovely herby cous cows. Divine.... More

We were recomanaded by a local Parisian friend to head to this place. The food was nice and they offer a great deal: a menu for a full dinner for 36 Euros ! We took the menu dinner and were surpried by the mael: The Fish soup was ONE of a kind ! Don't miss it! I orderd a duck... More

our hotel booked this for us when we told them we enjoy seafood, and we were not disappointed. It was quite crowded on a Friday evening when we were there, mostly with French people. It did not seem to be a tourist spot. The seafood was all very well prepared. The wine list was pricey compared to the food menu,... More

Really enjoyed a fantastic 3 course meal here on the last night of our trip. The menu is quite expensive but I would say it is worth it as the quality of the food was fantastic. The calamari starter & red mullet main were particularly good. Service was excellent & the restaurant had a good atmosphere.

If you are staying in the 5th or 6th arrondissement, this is an outstanding place for fish. The rockfish bouillabaisse is superb as a (filling) starter. The main dishes are very good, although not quite at the level of the starters. Good wine is available at a fairly reasonable price. The ambience is quiet and comfortable, and the staff provide... One would expect that residents of Paris know a good deal about food, so when the family gets together for Sunday lunch, it is helpful to see where they go. Lots go to La Mediterranee, and perhaps you might like to go there as well. We were delighted on our last visit to be just about the only non-locals at... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
