Exquisite meal in a lovely setting

La Grand Cascade is a lovely restaurant in the Bois de Boulogne. We had lunch there this week. It was excellent. The room has a wonderful old world feeling. It is an expensive restaurant but at lunch they have a fixed price menu for 79 Euro. It is a 3 course meal, but it begins with 2 Amuse Bouches... read more

Location of this restaurant is great. It is in quite place on the edge of Boulogne forest. Staff was extremely friendly. It was a bit difficult to communicate in English, but any way they helped us to select exception dishes and advised most suitable wine. Food is extremely great! For the first time visitors I’d recommend to order Menu “dégustation”... More

We decided on going upscale for a first night's dinner in Paris and La Grande Cascade did not disappoint. The dining room is immense and ornate. Staff are friendly and speak English. Although fancy it is decidedly not stuffy and when the server found we were willing to try everything the friendliness factor even increased. It helps that upon seating... More

La Grande Cascade is a restaurant that is a bit outside of Paris, in the Bois de Boulogne. This means that it has the luxury of space which is not always the case for restaurants within Paris. The best way of getting to La Grande Cascade is probably by car or taxi which should take something in the range of... More

Second Empire decor is stunning and this iconic queen charms like no other. The decor charms as does the cool murmuring of the waterfall. At night, away from Paris and the notion of time, we enjoy the elegant cuisine. Classics are revered but with inventiveness: escargots with verbena butter, baked cod steak with butternut mousseline or horseradish espuma and toasted... More

The best location, service is super and everything is delicious! If a person is visiting Paris this place is a must. It could be romantic for a couple and it can provide the best environment for a family as well.

A few months ago we had lunch at the Grande Cascade. The dining room and decor are very impressive and the service was attentive and pleasant. Food was good, but not memorable then. Certainly a very pleasant place for a special meal.

We celebrated my birthday lunch in this restaurant . The restaurant is situated in the outside of Paris in the nice old pavilion between waterfall and forest. It is about 20 minutes from the center. This place has wonderful atmosphere of old times. The food and vines were sophisticated, the stuff is professional and helpful.

This is not an easy review to write. First of all, the setting is enchanting, and the tableware brings back memories of royalty. Second, service is absolutely top-notch. In both instances, *** is more like it. The food had much to be commended. The crab meat en gelée was astounding, but... and the pigeon, too, was cooked to perfection, but...... More

Hard to find something that hasn't been said already, but this place is just incredible. The ambiance is gorgeous, the service was very accommodating and the food was delicious. Yes, expensive, but if you are in Paris, make this your go-to special occasion restaurant. Loved it!
