Classic French

Recommended by our hotel, this is one of the better French restaurants in Paris. Located in a quiet spot in the South of Paris, dinner for two with wine here approaches 90 EUR. If you are looking for an introduction to traditional French or appreciate the cuisine I would suggest La Gauloise.

Yummy food. Slightly slow service. Good atmosphere. Fair price. Definitely worth a try for one evening. Amazing soufflés.

Reasonable food, well cooked but somewhat lacking in accompaniments with no sides on the menu. Average service even considering we were in Paris. I had the Guinea Fowl which was quite good. Looked better than most of the other places close by so I would probably recommend for anyone looking to see the Eiffel Tower by night as the set... More

Restaurant recommended by the hotel (Ares - also very good!) around the corner. Don't be put off by the 'limited' looking menu...the food is delicious. Guinea fowl was moist; their steak peppery and cooked to perfection; the steak tartare the best I've eaten. That was just the main courses. Our two children (10 and 11) were both welcome. Service was... More

Fantastic dinner! The atmosphere was intimate and the food memorable. I still happily recall sauteed fennel under an anglerfish steak. A great evening with little to leave for wanting.

I got the lamb bowl (whatever its called) and the saint Marceline cheese for dessert - like a true tourist! :) Very friendly staff and delicious meals. Wine was excellent and the waiter really knew the wine well - just let them choose.

The food and staff were excellent. We opted for the three course meal and it was delicious. My son has food allergies and the service staff was very helpful in finding him safe foods. When in doubt they always checked with the chef. Get the house wine by the carafe - it's very good and cheaper than bottles. Great recommendation... More

We have been to many bistros during this week. This was the most expensive. The service consisted of taking order and delivering food! Nothing more. The fish turbot was the biggest ripoff. French fries were just right crispy but not hot. No one checked in. Service unacceptable.

We arrived late Friday evening and had asked the hotel to make a dinner reservation close to the hotel. We had a wonderful 2 course dinner. Everything was delicious and looked good. Staff was friendly and spoke English. I would definitely recommend it to both couples and families with children.

We were recommended by our hotel receptionist to eat at this restaurant . Wow ! It was so good, we ate here every night of our stay. Two courses for 24Euro50. I couldn't recommend any one particular dish as they were ALL amazing. Each time, we finished with coffee and this was presented with freshly made madellines and chocolates. The... More
