My wife and I dined here after our hotel recommended it, and made the reservations. Since we had reservations, we arrived and they immediately served us champagne....what a special touch. We ordered dinner, and I ordered the steak, which was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! Great atmosphere, and they spoke excellent English.

Great little restaurant with good food and lovely wine. Beef terrine to start which was flavoursome and interesting followed by beef tartar which was excellently seasoned. Wine selection was great - I would highly recommend the Côtes de Bourg Chateux de Barbe. Approachable and very helpful staff - the manager(?) is around helping people dressed very smartly in his suit... More

We had the 2 course menu, 4 options for each course eur 24.50 plus a carafe of pleasant cheaper wine eur23. The menu is in English or French. Started our meal with a complimentary bread basket and 4 mini toasts with a dip. My husband had the beef provencial (stew) followed by cream cheese and strawberry which turned out to... More

Classic french service, classic french food, all excellent, fun place to eat, not noisy, round banquets, waiters in black and white. Excellent wine list. Nice menu, not a huge choice of food, but all presented well and prepared well. Not trendy, not modern, unobtrusive presence, fun photos on the walls of the old times.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel so we thought we would try it out. It was busy and just got a table outside. We went for the set menu which was not very expensive and the food was delicious. The service was very good and we did not have to wait too long. Overall its the best... More

6 adults traveling from US. Tried different menu items including pork chop, duck and beef. All were impressed with the food. The service was attentive and very friendly. Restaurant was suggested by our hotel concierge at Tourisme Avenue across the street. We enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. Price is reasonable. Would go back and suggest to friends.

We had a nice lunch in terrasse, 3 courses for 30 € in Paris is cheap, very well presented dishes. Service is very good and polite. The restaurant is very well situated, not far away from the effeil tower and in quiet area.

La Gauloise is a very lovely restaurant. It does have a limited menu but if you like French food , you will enjoy your experience. The staff was very nice , and made us very comfortable in a place where there were few tourists. We loved the onion soup, and the veggie appetizer with a poached egg was fabulous. We... More

I go regularly to La Gauloise restaurant and I am always satisfied by the service and the food. The restaurant is located 5 min walk from Ecole Militaire / Champs de Mars (Eiffel Tower). It has inside an olddish style French brasserie but the food is good quality with traditional French meals. Despite some meals from the menu being slightly... More
