This is the perfect restaurant for a date in Paris. Historic, cozy, supreme service, and amazing food. My husband is still talking about it. Go eat, drink, and relax here. It makes me wish I lived in Paris.

Especially at lunch, the "special of the day" can make so much sense....it's going to be fresh and made to sell at a fair price.....The special was a lovely filet of fish served on a bed of artichoke risotto with a lobster sauce. it was proceeded by an order of oeufs meurette, perfectly executed. The service, by the woman mentioned... More

We snagged a table in this fabulous bistro near the Eiffel Tower and Rue Cler without a reservation on a Sunday evening. The seating on the terrace is lovely with the ambient noise of the fountain from which the restaurant gets its name. The menu was relatively small, but had all the bistro staples one would expect. We ordered from... More

Our server was so much fun that she made up for average food. We had a nice table outside, which was great. Our tomato & goat cheese starter was delish!

I can understand why people would be drawn to this resteraunt especially tourists with its rustic look and feel, however the food leaves a lot to be desired. The menu had minimal choice and the food was under seasoned and stodgy. Maybe we just didn't "get it" however what I can say in confidence is that it is ridiculously overpriced,... More

This has become a classic in 75007 Paris, but it deserves its good reputation. Its a simple bistro menu, that changes little, but the quality of the ingredients and of the cooking is outstanding. Also, the service is smiling and helpful -- even when its packed. We like to come here often.

We were greeted warmly and ate outside in the courtyard on a lovely, balmy evening. Charming ambiance. Our waiter was efficient, but brusque and unfriendly. My granddaughter tried duck for the first time which was fun for her. Food average. Good desserts. We were staying nearby in the 7th so tried several restaurants in the area. Overall we enjoyed the... More

Went with reservations with a party of 10. Service was ok but it was the quality of the food that was very, very disappointing. No one thought their dish was anything better than average. We had beef, chicken and several fish dishes. Due to the dishes being unimaginative and sub-par, no one wanted dessert. We sat upstairs and could overhear... More

This icon of Parisian dining came highly recommended, but we were disappointed. We thought the waiter could have spent more time explaining what the meals came with and should have made suggestions for sides to order. I order the beef filet which came with chips. I would have preferred some veges or salad instead or as well. Perhaps you need... More

Last night we waited in line at the front door of La Fontaine de Mars with a 7:30 reservation with a few dozen other diners who also had reservations which are definitely required at this popular French bistro establishment. The maître d' had trouble finding our reservation which took a few minutes finally finding it on his map of tables.... More
