Had dinner here last night as per the recommendation of a Parisian friend . The food and service , plus the value for Paris was excellent . Tiny little place with about 6 tables gets a lot of repeat business. Had we stayed in Paris longer we would definitely gone back. Reservations usually needed, and they serve lunch .

I think this restaurant is made famous by the reviews on Tripadvisor. It is a tiny restaurant in an old building with only a few tables. When we ate there everyone around us was tourist. Food is okay, not spectacular, the raw tuna fish appetizer was quite nasty and unfresh, but the cook did prepare the cod main dish perfectly.... More

As with most reviews we tried to get on off the street but was fully booked keep in mind it is only a small restaurant so we booked and believe me this place is worth the wait modern french food prepared to the highest level I cant even pretend to hide how good this was. The menu is essentially always... More

We were in Paris for vacation and wanted to try a typical restaurant. We had lunch there and I wouldn't say it is typically french but it is original for sure. The chef was polite and helpful, as he was cooking just beside our table. He was busy all time but could manage every order the waiter brought, while he... More

We enjoyed a late lunch at La Cordonnerie after spending several hours at The Louvre. We had read in advance about this place and knew it was nearby. Using our TripAdvisor App, it provided us with walking directions that took us down a tiny street to this equally tiny restaurant. I believe we were the last people sat since they... More

The place is small, almost tiny, but that is part of its charm. A warm quaint restaurant that I think is also where the owner/chef lives. When you walk in you walk straight into an area with two tables and the kitchen. Behind the counter is the lone chef taking care of everything himself, but he still stops to say... More

We are a family of 7 people so we booked the restaurant because I read that it is small. It is really a very small restaurant but atmosphere there is warm and food is excellent. The chef explained us everything about the food and the waiter was very friendly. Prices are acceptable (main dishes for example are about 20-24 euro).... More

Traditional french great hearty food at a great value. A real find. We were lucky to walk in and we had a great experience. I am always surprided by the portions of these little treasures. Also, really great wines. I know, it's France. But this is still very surprising for a small place with a warm envirenment. everything was four... More

We went for real french meal not for visitors, for the last night we stay in Paris. So came without reservation, and it was unfortunately full booked(Just like every other else who didnt book.) We decided to book a table for lunch the next day before our flight. It was awesome in the end. We had a french onion soup... More

When I requested local friends take me where they get a true rustic french meal, this was their choice. A dark, cozy almost tavern like inn located in the winding center of Paris. The food was simple country local food, served in order and paired nicely. The cook brought out each plate, by hand. the Lamb Shanks, Pig cheek, Beef... More
