We went to La Boulanerie for lunch as recommended by local Parisian. The restaurant was superb. The food was really good and service was excellent too. It may be a little expensive at dinner time but lunch prices are really good. There were two options for any course and all of them were superbly made French classics. Definitely recommended.

This corner bakery in the marais is where we had our first and best classic french breakfast : freshly squeezed orange juice, baguette, viennoiserie ( we chose chocolatine and almond croissant ) bracing cafe creme, all this on a terrasse facing a bustling square -perfection! i have nothing more to say...

Beware! They tried to overcharge us 22 euros for a bottle of wine. We were treating our Parisian hosts for a last meal out before we were to return to the states. My French is broken at best. I think the restaurant was trying to take advantage of our naïveté as tourists. Fortunately our French friends warned me to check... More

We walked into La Boulangerie for lunch after arriving at our nearby hotel, not knowing what to expect. We were seated immediately although the restaurant was quite full. The atmosphere was casually elegant and comfortable. Although our French was halting at best, the service was friendly and cordial. Best of all, the food was great! We split a fish "bisque"... More

The welcome is very warm, and you feel instantly at home. Everybody seems to know each other and after a while you feel one of them, like one big family. The menu is surprising and authentic French. Very nice food and constant refill of bread. All in all the real French experience. (tip: take the cheese platter for desert)

La Boulangerie, in a converted bakery, is inviting at first glance, with the old tiles of the one-time bakery still in tact and a hearty and welcoming bonjour from the chef, presiding over the bar in his apron. But it is the food -- classics from the Bourgogne region -- that made this one of the better meals I have... More

We visited for the second time recently for lunch on a friday. The room and building is warm, cosy and just about perfect. No need to chase the tourist trade because it is full of local French people. Yes I know we were tourists but we can speak french and pretend we are not [ well my wife can!]. The... More

My absolute favourite restaurant in Paris! We generally go there for special occasions as it's a little bit pricey, but worth every penny! The staff is very friendly and the service is impeccable! The food is absolutely divine and the wine list, the wine list, my friends!! The chef is (if my memory is correct) also sommelier! The menu changes... More

Delicious food, delightful staff, and charming location. All ingredients are fresh and home made. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised and to have your culinary senses aroused. Highly recommended. I dine at La Boulangerie every time I go to Paris.

For a real taste of paris La Boulangerie is a must. Out of the city but very close to a Metro station it is well worth the visit. We had a fantastic Saturday evening in this old bakery but definitely glad we booked. Great friendly service that even extended to a free drink! as we waited for our taxi. The... More
