Lovely last meal before we left Paris. The food and service were very good. The menu was based around what's best from the markets. The food was inventive on one hand (particularly the desserts) and overall demonstrated a well thought out hand in the kitchen while staying true to the bistro ideal... read more

We ate here 10+ yrs ago on our first trip to Paris and we had fond memories of it. This time around, not so much. Brightly lit upstairs. The two waiters never smiled - very detached. The food was fine. I ordered flank steak cooked medium, it definitely was medium rare. I wouldn't rush back,

On a beautiful evening in Paris we set out to find a restaurant we had previously booked. Only we couldn’t find it from the address and even the locals had a problem helping. In desperation and weariness we called into La Bastide for additional directions. In a very short but very memorable conversation (all of 30 seconds) with the Restaurant... More

The food was some of the best we've had in Paris, but it was the friendliness and attention of the management and staff that made our experience here truly superior. It was the highlight of or trip and I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Very slow service, below than average food, arrogant staff. They are plenty of better restaurants around in this area.

Made a reservation and indicated it was my spouses birthday, we were warmly greeted with free glasses of champagne, and they added a candle to her dessert at the end of the meal. The place was full, mostly locals and french tourists when we left at 9. The food was very good, service was attentive. Not pricey, takes all credit... More

Standard bistro fare which I love, but it was all done poorly and quite expensive for what you get. It is 30 euros for a two course dinner, and after spending a few days in Paris, I know that there is much better stuff out there for less. The duck was tough and salty. The sea bass was undercooked and... More

I went against my usual habit of checking Trip Advisor for a restaurant and went here on a personal recommendation. To be honest, I should have stuck to my guns. I was excited to see bouillabaisse on the menu (a personal favourite) but somewhat underwhelmed at the execution. That's not to say it's bad, just squarely average. I would describe... More

Well done. The best dinner of three we had in Paris for the weekend. Excellent starters (fried small fish), excellent bouillabaisse. Authentic. Friendly service. The restaurant was PACKED by 9 PM --- but we didn't even need a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised that this was not an "ex-pat" restaurant. I would estimate that half the patrons were locals. It... More

Everything was superb. A bit hard to find, but well worth it. We had the chicken and sea bass. Very well prepared. Deserts are awesome.
