Far from amazing

Been shown this place long time ago by a friend and do recollect it used to be much more interesting food wise. Now, seriously (and tried a couple of times in the last few years) I really don't get what all the fuss is about! Whether "THE" chef has left and came back (re last couple of reviews), I... read more

We have visited a number of times over the years with a large group. The service is friendly, the food very homely and delicious and the wine selection exceptional.

This is one of the best meals I've had in Paris, and I'd love to return to the restaurant. Next time I'll also order a starter. The fish was perfect and the chocolate desert was very good. Even though the restaurant was full of people, the service was very good.

With their fixed menu its always a surprise and piece of mind not to study the menu, which for me is a dilemma, but instead put yourself in the capable hands of the chef. Frog legs, pheasan, canard, soupe de poisson, millefeuille. You finish the dinner flying like a stuffed feather.

Joy Maguire April 18 · Edited Found an old friend who had been off our list for several years and had a wonderful meal. L'Os a Moelle reopened in Fevrier with the original chef owner, manager, and menu - a warm welcome back to them. We ordered the full five course menu -soupe, entree, plat, fromage, dessert, plus an amuse... More

small to medium size restaurant, attentive service from owner and ?daughter. Degustation dinner, very good food, washed down with a good pinot noir. Very reasonable price. We loved it.

The cold cauliflower soup was beautiful in its subtlety. The fried chorizo on top of fresh oysters was actually an amazingly perfect flavor combination. The Magret duck was perfect. The desert, fresh fruit covered with a light custard and almonds and then >toasted< under the broiler and served warm, almost slayed me. The only reason not to go, is because... More

We went for dinner and we had such a bad experience!!!! First, the place has no charme at all, then the service is very poor (we had to wait almost 20 min to order since the owner was on the phone also having to guys waiting to be seated at least 5 min) and after all that, the food was... More

I lived in Strasbourg-Alsace for 5 years so I know a few things about la cuisine alsacienne and this restaurant was not haute cuisine. The service was good until the moment I complaint about my desert where they ignored me and never talked to us again. My first course was interesting (the only thing) sunny eggs with snails and bacon... More

Excellent French cuisine in a quaint setting. We were tempted to leave before ordering because the restaurant is not air conditioned and it was a very hot July evening, but we are glad we stayed. Chef Schmidt is very talented.
