A wonderful meal!

The food here was absolutely amazing and the service was pleasant and attentive. The location on the Île Saint-Louis makes for a quiet, relaxed visit. This is a great place to get a taste of Paris cuisine.

Lovely little place on the Ile St Louis. Nice dinner, good service , and it's open in August. Good food, good service and nice atmosphere. In the heart of touristic Paris but good nonetheless.

The couple who own and run this charmer have decorated it on the theme of old black and white movies. The food is well presented and delicious in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Evening specials include a 2 or 3 course choice and is a great value for excellent dining.

We had a wonderful evening at L'Orangerie with friends on the beautiful island location. The wait staff were all very friendly and helpful and it was nice but not stuffy . We all liked our dinners and deserts and felt the price was quite good given the location, quality and attentiveness of the staff.

It was a lovely place to go after the Vivaldi concert at St. Chapelle. Good service, lovely food and an excellent choice of wines.

Like many folks, we heard about this lovely restaurant in Rick Steves' guide book. All of the food that we had was very good, the service was friendly and efficient, and the quality to price ratio seemed spot on to me. The only possible downside is that you're very likely to be surrounded by guide-book toting Americans, but I would... More

I had located L'Orangerie from a list of recommendations from Rick Steves plus good write-ups in Tripadvisor. It was an excellent choice. Everything about it was just right. Its a nice, small restaurant with charm - and the service was excellent - very attentive and for the group of four of us who could not speak much French, they were... More

We went to this restaurant on 7 May to reserve a nice table for the next evening (our 50th wedding anniversary). The host was very friendly, took our name and telephone number, and noted our choice of table. Arriving a few minutes early on the 8th, we observed that our choice of table was just being occupied. When I approached... More

Had a lovely lunch here last week. The service was friendly and the waitress spoke good English so it didn't matter that my French is terrible. Food is good with generous portions, I was so full after a starter and a main that I had no room for dessert. It is situated on the Île Saint-Louis so it is near... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
