This had been recommended to us and it was open on a Sunday which is a bonus. Also, it is always nice to visit Ile St. Louis. It is a pretty place and the food was good. My husband and I both had the eggplant gratin to start and chocolate pots de creme for dessert. I had the tagliatelle with... read more

Extremely disappointing. No chef in kitchen only misguided cooks. Owner clearly does not care about food quality. You will be disappointed

The food at this small restaurant is very good and well-priced (delicious foie gras and grilled bar). The wine list, on the other hand, is limited and expensive. My wife was extremely satisfied with her starter of potatoes Charlotte and her main of beef filet. Service was excellent.

If you like seafood I strongly recommend this place. The waiter we had was very friendly and flexible. There were not a lot of people when we ate there and the food was delicious. The prices were reasonable for the this part of Paris.

Our lunch could not have been any more enjoyable. The perfect place to interrupt our stroll on Ile-St. Louis. The atmosphere, the gentle buzz, the supremely delicious prix-fixe meal, the quiet but efficient staff, the great client mix of predominantly french couples(avec chien, les enfants) made this so much more than the American hangout we expected. While mildly pricey, the food... More

We ate at L'Orangerie on Christmas Day 2014. Michelin quality food and fantastic, friendly service. Best restaurant on Ile Saint Louis, only observation is that it's expensive eating from the a la carte; but the prix fixe menu is excellent value and of the same high quality. Get a booking & enjoy!

We had a lovely Christmas dinner here. The food was quite good and the service was excellent. We ordered from the plat du jour menu and had veal, lamb, fish and even risotto. The owner was very solicitous and patient as we struggled through trying to converse in French.

My wife & I have visited the restaurant 3 times now & have had a great experience each time. Of the restaurants we've eaten at in Paris, this has been our favorite. Everything we've tried has been good! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food; each time we've had the 3 course fixed price menu and... More

Our group of eight dined at L 'Orangerie while in Paris for a four night visit. This small, quaint restaurant offered a very charming atmosphere, helpful staff and delicious food. We all enjoyed our meals and would recommend this to others who visit and want a good meal at a reasonable price.

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
