Amazing food and ambience!

Went with the missus for our 3 year anniversary, absolutely amazing. Food was fantastic, highly recommend the goat cheese salad as a starter. The cow theme was fun but still had a very classy, fine dining feel.

We had dinner here on one of our first nights in Paris more than 25 years ago; a meal made memorable when they allowed my wife to "lick the bowl" in which the Mousse au chocolat had been made (it was the end of a long evening). We have been back from time to time over the years, but on... More

My sister and her husband live in Paris and joined us for dinner on our last night in Paris. We all were impressed with the ambience (eclectic dishes, beautiful flowers, candles) as well as the warm welcome and outstanding food. We all ordered different entrees - lamb, duck, scallops and boeuf bourguignon- and all were delicious. We stayed across the... More

Had dinner here with our two teenagers. The decor is eclectic, colorful, very artsy. The restaurant is quite small, perhaps 10 tables. It feels very homey. We had "marinated salmon" which was pretty much lox. Then we had Boeuf bourginon which was excellent. The steak with potatoes au gratin cooked to perfection, and the beef brochettes also terrific. Classic French... More

L'ilot Vache is tucked away on the quiet main street of the Ile St. Louis and is well worth a visit for lunch or dinner. The restaurant has a beautifully designed interior which comes to life in the evening when it is at its romantic and atmospheric best. There is a really great 5 course prix fixe menu which we... This is not a review about their food.. I only got to experience their lack of communication. Coming to Paris new years eve and booking the table in advance, you need the communication to be at it's highest. I booked the table through The Fork, a service provided through TripAdvisor. I was warned that the restaurant would claim a 50€... More

This restaurant seems to have been recently refurbished - new windows and heating and this wasn't working that well on the cold evening when we visited. Hpwever the staff tried hard to make us warm and very welcome. The food was really good. I started with the fish soup, then had steak and finally the chocolate mousse - a speciallity... More

This is my third trip to Paris this year and this is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Paris. It is also very affordable. They have a prefix 3 course dinner for 39 EUR and the atmosphere, service and food were fantastic. Beautiful flowers at every table. Lamb chops excellent, Beef bourguignon excellent, Bread pudding just OK.... More

Wanted to dine on isle St Louis after touring Notre Dame in evening... this restaurant has a good reputation, but the tables are on top of each other, the food was only adequate, and the service was fair, at best. Would NOT go back.

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
