My husband and I decide to try L'Assiete after dining the previous night at Guy Savoy. We trekked quite a distance to reach the restaurant from the Vendome, but it was worth it. The bistro is nice and understated on a side street, and looks completely unassuming from the exterior. Inside, a warm ambience envelopes you as you embark on... More

I've been eating out in Paris for 15 years, and I love exploring new places. I had read the reviews of L'Assiette and was looking forward to the dinner. I was a bit surprised when I saw the prices in the menu - which of course set the expectations. We started with the snails and some lamb/herring combination - OK,... More

This small restaurant was recommended by a friend. It has a nice atmosphere. It is a bit pricey. The fish was a disappointment. The Cassoulet was quite good. One serve is enough for two, unless you are starving. The best part was the dessert, with the pear soufflé. As a starter, the crevette tartar was good though not stellar.

It's not like anything was bad, but from the reviews and the prices I was expecting much more. The cassoulet was pretty good but it was just a little bit of a letdown. Maybe just a little too old-school for our palates.

Nice Parisian restaurant that offers good quality food. I enjoyed my meal and overall evening, nice ham as a complimentary starter. However, I think it is slightly overpriced.

Went for a date meal. Had cassoulet and ecrevisse tartar. Both very enjoyable. Nice ham as free starter. Good services but the wine guy was absent this night. Wine was not matching the meal, a bit too young. Generally too expensive but very good quality good.

It was our first trip to Paris together (husband had been to Paris as a teenager some 20+ years ago), and we were looking for a place to celebrate an early 15th wedding anniversary. We were staying in the 14th, and this place came up in our search. It was a 15 minute walk from our apartment in a light... More

A pleasant restaurant with a retro, by age not design, ambiance. Very good cassoulet. Acceptable service. Unfortunately the prices are significantly higher than for most other, equal quality, Paris restaurants. Summary- Price makes this a poor choice.

Kindly staff, but they haven't english menu. Classic bistro atmosphere. Best escargot, what I ever eat. I offer the pork loin and beef cheek. The best dessert was salt butter caramel cream. The wine list is good, but we drank only the house wine in caraffe, it was perfect.
