After finding out Aprege was listed as a top 50 world restaurant, we made reservations for lunch months in advance for our Paris trip and we weren't disappointed. As we arrived, we were greeted warmly and immediately seated. Our server was wonderful and we were able to talk and joke with her. Nothing stuffy or unwelcoming about the service, which... More

I've now been to L'Arpege twice, and each time was a wonderful experience. I'm a vegetarian, my husband is not, and we've both had amazing, beautiful, delicious meals here. Even the non-veg menu has a lot of vegetables, and it's a real pleasure to eat an elaborate meal that is so vegetable-based. It's lovely inside and the service is excellent.... More

This was the second Michelin star restaurant i picked out of the many there are to choose from in Paris and luckily, it did not disappoint. It's amazing from beginning to end. The space is elegant but not opulent, a fair mix of modern and historic. The walls are adorned with light wood panel embedded with images of figures posed like... More

We were looking for a Michelin 3 stars experience that had more than one vegetarian option, and that was definitely it! The service was good, we had entrees served from the minute we arrived, the waitress were helpful in finding some good options for our kids (5 and 8 -- not the usual crowd) and splitting dishes as we didn't... Our reservation here was actually made in mistake - we were supposed to eat at L'Astrance but our agent goofed. No worries however, as we enjoyed our time here. The chef is renowned for his use of fresh vegetables (many from his own garden I understand) and everything we had (including our fish) was expertly prepared. Gaylord, the sommelier, was... More

We spent nine days in Paris and dined at haute cuisine restaurants, bistros and brasseries, and ethnic restaurants and did not have a single bad meal. That being said, of the 18 or so meals we had, our dinner at L'Arpege was the worst. I don't mean to say that it was bad per se, but it was certainly last... More

well we were so keen to visit here after recently visiting Per Se and Eleven Madison Park in NYC. This is a very good restaurant with emphasis on clean fresh flavours, best seasonal tastes and many tastes of actually similar things- we counted at least five dishes where the tomato was a standout- tomato sushi, consommé , carpaccio, served whole,... Wow, what an incredible disappointment. Boring room, ordinary service, tomatoes in 5 of the 12 courses (there are other vegetables), and just simply not worth the price 340 Euros per person plus wine. I ate in all of the best restaurants in Paris this trip and L"Arpege was by far the disappointing. With 3 Michelin Stars and this stratospheric pricing... More

I had lunch at the restaurant August 26th - great experience. Asked to be guided on both food and wine - fantastic. I never had experienced so many tastful dishes with vegetables (14 dishes with either pure vegetables and fruit out of 16 dishes). Tried different wines by the glass - different and less traditional regions - was really an... More

Michelin France needs a wake up call! Dinner for 2, moderate bottle of wine 960 Euro. The price is only an issue because the food, service and ambiance are so dated and awful. Alain Passard was one of Paris's best 15 years ago when I as a young chef and had worked for free, but those are long past... No... More
