L'Arpege has a big reputation and in most cases during my travels this normally leads to disapointment but not in this case. I would say that if anything it was understated in reputation. The food was outstanding, service sensational and the menu was exciting. It is worth a fourth star. Really!!

It is rare these days to find a restaurant of this level where the team (Maitre, waiters, hostes) reflect the personality of the chef that well and remains unpretentious. What an experience!!! Not only that he is there every night, but he will even serve the dishes himself or come to the table to comment on ingredients and his passion... More

The experience exceeded already high hopes and expectations. Firstly, the service : friendly, unassuming, yet very professional and knowledgeable. We went for the "a la carte" (not the tasting menu) and our choices largely seafood and vegetable based. Superb presentation and exquisitely prepared. The fish (turbot) was a particular stand-out. Our sommelier was excellent. Only 21 years of age but... More

We came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The dining room was abuzz with people and we were shown to our table. We ordered the chef's surprise lunch and proceeded to have an absolutely phenomenal experience. Service was unobtrusive but perfect. The food was everything it was cranked up to be. Beautiful presentations, amazing tastes. Course after course of... More

We went to many 3 stars Michelin restaurants on this trip. I have to say this one is the best one. I'm not a bit fan of vegetable, but this restaurant know how to cook them right. They serves the best vegetable dishes i have ever tried. Good enough to make me forget that they were vegetable. The Chef was... More

We went looking for a vegetarian fine dining experience and while we met the most professional staff and drank the best wine we've ever had, our expectations on the food were not met. The food is served fresh - as it should be since the restaurant owns three farms - but ultimately, the dishes were slightly more creative preparations of... More

At $2400 for 4 people, no meal is worth that. And yes, we got gouged for the champagne too, but I think they charged $50 a glass. Waiters were very pretentious and unfriendly. 12 courses including a very bad lobster course. I had better meals in Paris at other restaurants. I'd skip this experience.

After testing several *** Michelin restaurants around the world, L'Arpege is clrealy the best. Let me explain why : 1. While others play with luxury products (lobster - caviar - foie gras), Alain Passard serves mainly vegetables. 2. You're already saying booooo vegetables ? Yes. The best experience in your fooding life. 3. They have their own farms where they... More

I have had the honor and privileged of eating at some of the greatest restaurants in the United States including Per Se, Meadowood, French Laundry, Le Bernadin, Jean George and Daniel and I can say that without a doubt L'Arpege is the greatest restaurant that I have ever been to. The food is surreal, the service approachable and professional, and... More

Arpege is a 3 Star Michelin star restaurant and ranked in 50 best restaurants each year. It is a vegetarian restaurant which sound interesting for that class restaurant. We are not fond of foie gras and we don't like raw fish and they are frequently served at other Michelin starred restaurants. That's why we booked a table at Arpege. As... More
