Delicious food

A delicious menu with plenty of non meat options, cocktails and a good wine list. Thoroughly recommended in this part of town.

I was so upset travelling to Paris during the holiday season. Not because of the swarms of tourists and never ending lines snaking around the museums and attractions, but because my absolute favorite restaurant was closed down for the holiday week. I walked by several times, only hoping a light might pop up in the window...but alas...a meal here would... More

Recommendation by the hotel nearby. Wonderful little restaurant and square but expect tourists (rather than locals) there. All the food was well presented and tasted good. Not excessively expensive. More atmosphere (buzz) would have made this a "must go" place to go - but if you are looking for some quiet good place after a long day - do give... More

Excellent place to have dinner, with very pleasant staff and a lovely atmosphere. A bit pricey but totally worth it. Go for the fondue with ham option from the appetizers

The food was different, while still french, cozy, without being too loud. Waitstaff was very helpful, as we do not speak french, and a good value to boot. Recommended by our concierge at the Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel.

A small but interesting restaurant. For starter thinly sliced marinated scallops which was exquisitely presented. The other starter we had was a mushroom soup with herb ravioli which was simply delicious. For main we chose the special of the establishment which was duck breast with foie gras in a brioche bun. This tasted nice but in my opinion didn't really... More

We keep coming back to this place because of the quality of the food. The prices are reasonable. We had a hard time getting a reservation (I don't think they like tourists so much), and it took some time for the waiter to warm up to us, but overall it was a fantastic experience.

Absinthe looks a typical French bistro from the outside, tucked in the corner of Place du Marche in Paris' 1st arondissement. Inside as well, tables close together, so not particularly good for a cosy, romantic evening, unless you want really good food, at a reasonable price for Paris. We loved the atmosphere, our waiter was delightful, speaking all of the... More

The concierge of Buddha Bar Hotel recommended me and my wife this restaurant seen the one we were headed to was sold out, it is located just steps away the famous Place Vendome, we clearly asked for a not too elegant restaurant with quality food and no turisitic and we actually got what we wanted, the service is very efficient,... After a horrible meal one night in Paris, we consulted our concierge at the Ambassador Hotel for recommendations. She made a reservation at Absinthe; our gastronomic Parisian experience was rescued. From the time we were seated until we (reluctantly) left, the staff was attentive, food was savory with exquisite presentation. We enjoyed a beef dish with succulent squash, superb wine,... More
