L'Absinthe is a "bistrot de cuisinier", a cooks' bistrot, firmly modern. The menu is entirely created, tested and produced in the restaurant's kitchen. Every single task from the slicing of vegetables to the seasoning of sauces including the filleting of fish, is executed in situ from A to Z. Each dish conveys the creative family spirit at the rate of the seasons and inspired by their different journeys around the world. The restaurant's interior design will also make you feel this travelling and dynamic atmosphere: you will eat in setting which is a mix between a typical Parisian bistrot and a loft in New York.

The dishes of the day and the wines of the week (Pernand-Vergelesses and a Paulliac) by the glass were all exceptional. The rhubarb and lemon tarte with a julienne of meringue was fabulous!

We enjoyed our meal at L'Absinthe however we had high expectations due to the reviews and this was not our absolute favourite in Paris. Our mains were tasty. I had the ravioli which was delicious and my husband had the steak which was cooked well. Service was a bit lacking as seems to be a fair bit around France with... More

The appetizers were delicious but the mains and desserts were only good. The price however was spectacularly high compared to other places in Paris with better food.

What a great place relax in the late afternoon. We had Absinthe, Mojitos and Margaritas. Happy hour from 17.00 with cocktails at 5.50E. And yes puts you in a good mood. If you have been to South America they tend to be a bit sweet but if you ask for no sugar syrup there perfect. The staff are great and... More

Upper mid-range restaurant. Average performance compared to the price level. We had the ribeye steak, and it was lovely although not that tender. The dessert (Lemon and rhubarb tart) was absolutely delicious! Very good wine, both the recommmended bourgogne for the steak and the dessert wine. Professional and nice staff, but they seemed to be a bit stressed out. Nice... More

Looked on google for a reasons restaurant and after a failed attempt at another "restaurant" we ended up at L'Absinthe. The inside was fully booked up and so we waited for about fifteen minutes for a table outside. On a lovely evening that was not a problem and we soon had a table prepared for us. It is a very... There were to be 6 of us for dinner, staying at 2 nearby hotels. Both hotels suggested L'Absinthe as an upmarket local restaurant, Upmarket - yes. Local - yes. But L'Absinthe did not hit the spot. The steaks were not too good and the salads lacked lustre. The dessert was good but that was about all.

What a friendly place to set sail to! It is one of the friendliest place to share a meal with a friend. The menu is simple and tasty. The gazpacho of beetroot is out of this world! Lunch or dinner, the atmosphere is wonderful. The service is elegant. Do leave room for desert!
