Description: Kirane Restaurant in Paris between l’Etoile and Porte Maillot has the estimable Kirane at its heart, a warm and dedicated restauranteuse who has brought the delicate spicing of her native Punjab to the capital. The restaurant is stylish and elegant, with creamy walls, authentically embroidered banquettes, benign statuary and rare wooden carvings. The menu features Punjabi dishes inspired by the recipes of Kirane’s own mother and grandmother using secret combinations of flavours that have earned Kirane the soubriquet Mistress of Spices. Dishes include tikkas, jalfrezis, masalas, biryanism and kormas in Discover and Tradition menus. The set menus at lunch and supper are excellent value.

Rewarded by prices, with a nice and not too intrusive decoration, the food is delicious as the never empty seats can give you a hint. I recommend the cheese nan, the chicken Malai masala, the fish and as a wine the red Chassagne Montrachet.

Food has been extremely delicious. If you are looking for a traditional Indian food restaurant, you are in the correct place. The spicy food is perfect!

We heard a lot about this place and decided to visit but the experience was completely opposite to what we expected. We requested the food to be spicy but to our surprise the food didnt even had salt:( dal tarka seemed to be just boiled with tomatoes and no salt n spices added. Same experience with the chicken dish. Non... More

Not bad. But prices on little higher side with portions bit less than avg. standard. But would still recommend it for two reasons. Firstly food is good and staffs are well mannered and courteous. Service is efficient and reasonably in time. You can try it if you are not aware of any other better place for indian food.

We found this restaurant near our hotel, we booked for 7.30. The owner took our order and we had to order all at once 'for the computer' and she was quite abrupt, which put us off from the start. The food was fine, it did not seem like much but we had ordered enough. Be careful with wine prices. The... More

For starters , the restaurant manager / owner is a disgrace to Indians ! He's rude and arrogant! Terrible service! I would avoid that place even if I'm dying hungry ! .. Highly overpriced ! This place will leave you with bad memories of Paris !

Average food, Bad service and Racist for Indian origin people. We are a family of four Indian origin people living in the US. We were craving Indian food, we came upon this restaurant at 6.45 pm, and the manager (also of Indian origin) told us the restaurant would open only at 7 pm and we were not allowed to even... More

If you are craving some good spicy Indian food, you may want to try Kirane's. It is a bit pricey, but I felt that it was a good value. Compared to some of the other Indian restaurants in Paris that serve bland food for tourists, Kirane's stands out for their spices. The butter chicken was great - the spice level... More

We went to this resturant for lunch and were seated promptly as it had just opened for lunch. For starters i had the sheek kebab and my wife had the king prawns. The king prawns cost €18 for 3 bits of prawn which were a complete rip off and overpriced not worth it. My kebab was average and cost around... More

After a few days of French food we were hoping for a good Indian meal in Paris. Nevertheless, we were quite disappointed. The menu in general is overpriced, similar prices to London's top end Indian restaurants. The vegetables were particularly bad. The daal portion was a very small colourless paste, simply the worst I ever had in an Indian restaurant.... More
