Boeuf bourguignon is great!

We went to this very popular bistro without reservations and got a table - between the kitchen and bathroom doors. Despite the terrible table site, the food was lovely. The boeuf bourguignon melted in my mouth, the accompanying pasta was perfect and the service was excellent.

Had high expectations for this bistro, which reportedly had the "best duck confit" in Paris. My husband loves duck confit and orders it any chance he can -- his opinion of the duck confit here was "meh." Overpriced for sure. Wine selection overpriced also -- not too many good options for under 50 euros. Their foie gras appetizer was a... More

Yes I realize all the reviews say this was really a "French restaurant" but I guess I haven't done enough research to understand what a French restaurant really is. Either way, the place was pretty good , portions were medium sized, food was good and the menus were in French. So perhaps it was a French restaurant after all. It... More

When you are in Paris, you can find hunderds of restaurants, but it's hard to find a real French or Parisien food. At Cehz Dumonet you can have the best French food in a real Parisien atmosphere. The cleanest and the most serious kithcen I have ever seen, and very good service. I had artichoke salad with orange dressing, very... More

Salmon and foie gras as starters were amazing. we had pigeon millefeuille and boeuf bourguignon as mains, both of which were delicious. not a fan of the popular grand marnier souffle but not everything can be for everyone. service was perfect!

Called upon arrival in Paris and got a reservation. After the reviews here, we really were looking forward to our meal and were not disappointed. Started with house foie gras and champagne and it was amazing! Melted on the toast! I had a half order (was huge) of the duck and my husband had a half order of the beef... More

Josephine is known according to many people and to the British Newspaper The Guardian as one of the top best bistros in Paris. However, my experience there was a nightmare. Last week at the moment the waiter brought us our dishes, my friend who was sitting in front of me had the impression there was something moving under the table.... More

We were wandering the neighborhood near our hotel and found this wonderful dining experience. We had no reservation but were seated immediately. The food was divine and the experience was delightful. The next time we were in Paris, we could not get a reservation....so disappointing.

We had dinner and were very happy with our selections (Sweetbreads and Boeuf Bourguignon as entrees and White asparagus & Foie Gras as appetizers), as well as the choice of wine. Portions were very generous - especially for appetizers. Our primary waiter was less than gracious, although his assistant was excellent. We felt completely ignored and he did not come... More

I am quite fluent in French, so it was most pleasant to hear the warm welcome given to those diners who could not speak French. The glass of house sauvignon blanc given on arrival was a nice touch. I started with a half portion of stuffed morel mushrooms which were delicious, followed by a half portion of bourguignon. The beef... More

The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères.
