Cute restaurant, amazing food, service is charming

I went to this restaurant after reading top 10 places to eat in Paris. Boy was I not disappointed. I walked in with no booking and the Maitre'D was kind enough to find me a table outside. Perfect for Parisian Summers! I was greeted with glass of red wine. The waiters were all very helpful, all... read more

Hello, My husband and I ate at this restaurant today for lunch. The menu is pretty pricey for lunch, the beef bourguignon was 29 Euros pp and it came with a small serving of pasta. It was delicious! It was worth the trip, although with the beef bourguignon, a shared salad, one glass of wine, 2 bottles of water and... More

Great food away from most of the tourists. We ate in a lot of great places in Paris but this was probably our favorite. No need to say more--read the tons of great reviews.

Yes, she is a little worn, just a little tired, as out waiter was when we can in ( sleeping on the banquet ) and could use a nip and tuck But it is still one of my favorite places. The waiters don't change, I have seen some of the same men there for the last 8 - 10 years.... More

Mrs "007" and and I were on our honeymoon in Paris and I had checked out DOZENS of reviews for bistros in Paris from many, many different sources. As we were only staying in Paris for a few days, I was determined to find a great place to eat that was authentically Parisien and (hopefully) romantic. Chez Dumonet didn't dissapoint.... More

Terrific and attentive wait staff, classic French cuisine, old world charm, and the best soufflé ever! Make a reservation because it is a small place which is quite popular.

We came here for our first meal in Paris and CJD did not disappoint! We had terrine, rilettes, duck confit, beef bourgignon, grand marnier souffle and a cafe gourmand. We also had several glasses of wine to start and a half bottle to share. It was a really wonderful meal from start to finish and we spent several hours enjoying... More

Bright lights, a bit tattered around the edges but so much fun! No English menu but the waiter was kind and showed remarkable patience. Wine list for every pocket book. Souffle was great. Wonderful experience for last dinner in Paris.

This was our first meal in Paris and it was simply charming. We had a reservations and requested to seat in the first section. Our waiter knew little English and I know a little French. We were then given a waiter who spoke better English but it was all good. After a complimentary champagne, we ordered a lovely bottle of... More

Good friends recommended this bistro following their visit here in the summer of 2014. We were anxious to try it, but alas, were disappointed overall. We were given the free glass of wine (delayed a bit as our amuse bouche of minced mackeral and toasts (quite good) had arrived earlier) and thought it could be a very good meal. We... More
