The headwaiter ' Augusta' whom spoke English was very rude and arrogant. He suggested us to over order knowing that the portion were too big for us( a family of three) ; while the local French were sharing dishes. Overprice and food was at best OK. Apple tart was burnt and soufflé was cold inside.

Disappointing and insulting. You are advised to avoid reaching this restaurant at all costs!! Prohibitively expensive restaurant, very poor quality, poor and abusive service. Both entrees were tiny samples and very expensive. Main course came beef bourguignon tiny size of three small pieces of meat, the waiter explained that it is the largest size and that is all there and... More

The foie gras de canard, boeuf bourguignon, sides, and the Grand Marnier soufflé were all excellent, but that’s not what this review is about. I wanted to address the service at Chez Dumonet, since it has gotten the reputation of having the most snarky and rude waiters in all of Paris. My teenage daughter and I had read the reviews... More

This restaurant was definitely not worth the time and effort it took us to locate it. Our table was located right outside the kitchen with the bathroom door right behind us... not exactly ideal but at least the guy in the kitchen mopping the floors was more personable and congenial to us than our waiter who was very arrogant and... I'm not sure Jim M was at the right restaurant! Our beef bourguignon was absolute perfection and given this is a dish I make every winter, I know the real thing. As for dessert, it's a must to order the Grand Marnier Souffle ~ also perfection! This very small, very French restaurant is absolutely a must on any trip to... More

This restaurant is amazing and the food is fabulous ~ lucky enough to tag along here with my sister who has dined here many times. The staff is wonderful and the food was perfect ~ just a great night out. Highly recommended.

This has been our third visit in the last three years. The first time was great, and the second almost as good. This visit was a disappointment and I gave it a four rather than a three because of our overall experience. On this occasion the service was average, but more disappointing was the food. We had the beef bourguignon... More

What an experience, so great we did it twice in our week in Paris. The kindest staff with such a great humour, a superb wine list and a menu which is simple at first glance yet a sublime perfection. If you are looking for a predictable tourist restaurant which gets you in and out quickly, this is not for you.... More

If there is only one dish you can eat, this is the dish. Order the normal size ( not the half portion) Reason: half portion comes in a normal bowl whereas the full portion comes in the Le Creuset pot. This cast iron pot has a thick metal base so the cooking continues even when served on the table. The... More

Well it was my pleasure to contact a Parisian who is a TA living in paris. So I invited her to diner, to a restaurant of her choice and she selected this one. Well it was as she said a local place with a mixture of non Parisians and Parisians. The food I must tell you that I tasted many... More
