Though the entire menu is in French, give it a try. The waitstaff will be more than happy to help you. This is located outside the main tourist area but was worth the trouble to get to. The decor was charming. We chose to dine outside on the sidewalk. We began the meal with a complimentary aperitif and gazpacho. My... More

When 'they' say it is the best beef bourguignon, you can believe it! We have tried many - and my wife is a gourmet cook who has made many beef bourguignon dinners- and this is the best, bar none! Reasonably priced, this is almost a bargain when compared with the portion size and the bread that comes with it. We... More

We had the beef bourguignon and confit de canard and both were very good. Service was fine, but we were there at lunch on a not so busy day.

This restaurant is obviously listed in every guidebook because it's full of tourists. Service was a bit disorganised and distracted. Wine list was amusing, filled with thousand euro wines that don't befit this rather pedestrian shabby bistro. Excellent food though, duck confit and beef bourgignon the signature dishes.

The chef Jean Christophe is a master chef of France, the location, rue du cherche midi is very convenient near Montparnasse. The bistro, an old family institution is charming. The customers are often members of the Parisian fashion, art, movie, business elite. The food is great, we had the stuffed mushrooms as appetizers that were deliciously prepared, they offered some... We had read & heard that this is the #1 bistro in Paris so we had to try it. The decor & atmosphere is very French but felt authentic & not kitschy. We got the last order of Beef Bourgonion (sp?). It was tasty but meat was a bit fatty. We also shared a delicious shrimp starter. Someone we were... More

I can barely recall if he menu is even in English but there will be familiar favorites like Beouf Bourginon and Duck Confit. It's probably the best duck confit in the city, as attested by numerous food bloggers based in Paris. Interiors are warm and take you back to the old glory days. Service is warm and friendly - certainly... More

Went here a few months back. Fantastic food. The duck confit is great but I think there are other equally great places for duck. The entire menu is just solid top to bottom, especially starters (terrine, foie gras). I will say that the Grand Marnier souffle is epic... but not my style. I actually like Grand Marnier but this souffle... More

A lovely bistrot with excellent food. The menu is made up of French classics such as foie gras, duck confit and beouf bourguinon, the later which it is famous for. The grand marnier souffle is also an oldie but a goldie. The food is not exciting but it is delicious and servings are generous so I recommend sharing the beouf... More

We read the reviews and went for lunch with some trepidation. Honestly, I wonder if the other reviewers went to the same restaurant as I did? The food was superb and the waitstaff was friendly and efficient. I had boeuf bourguignon which was lovely with well balanced flavours. I'm not a huge carnivore, but it could quite possibly be the...
