We try to go there each year we are in Paris--this is the 6th time. It always hits the mark. We shared the morilles appetizer which is just fabulous. My wife had the seared foie gras for her main course and I had the beef bourguignon. She had the souffle and I went with my favorite, the millefeuille, which is... More

This is heavy food. I learned news things from this restaurant. First is sea salt on Foie gras. Salt gives excellent kick in Foie gras. Duck Confit can be this good. They serve crispy duck skin and great duck leg meat with great flavor and moisture. It is not dry at all. My husband said his beef bourginon was very... More

The food was overall five stars here. Our party had foie gras and artichoke hearts as starters, Chateaubriand and boeuf bourguignon as mains, and soufflé's for dessert. Everything was very good to excellent. The wine list isn't extensive, but includes some nice wines at reasonable prices. Some of the dishes are available in half portions at a reduced price, which... If you want to try the real French cuisine In Paris try the Josephine Chez Dumonet. It is a bistrot, very simple and always full. Not easy to book a table, but if you get one enjoy. Try the traditional French dishes and you will like it for sure. As dessert order a Mille Feuille that is very good. The... More

One of Paris oldest restaurants. Typical French cuisine. We all had cassoulet Which is cooked with beans and various kinds of meats including smoked sausage. A highly recommended course to be accompanied with good full bodied red wine. For dessert we had a great soufflé. I Will defiantly eat there again in the future.

I love Grand Marnier soufflé and searched for a restaurant that made a really good one, well, this is it. We had a 3 o'clock lunch, and I wanted to have the soufflé so just ordered fois gras and the soufflé. My husband had and egg noodle and beef dish that he said was the best meal he'd had in... More

We visited this restaurant during a lunchtime on a Monday after trying hard to get a reservation for a few days, it was well worth the effort! Walking into the 'rustic' small restaurant, we we're immediately greeted by name, with a complimentary glass of wine. We went straight in for the main, I ordered the beef, and my husband ordered... My only advice is have a light lunch! The portions are hearty and the taste outstanding without the pretensions of so many Parisian restaurants. Informal, casual dining with great food and wine and friendly service.

We have visited Paris in August for the past five years and we have dined at Josephine Chez Dumonet each time. It is a classic and I do believe that it is a family owned restaurant that has remained in the same family for many years (do correct me if I am wrong). You will find that locals dine there... More

I cannot stop thinking about the meal we had at Chez Dumonet. MAKE A RESERVATION, the place is small and THAT good! We were given a complimentary glass of champagne when we arrived which was a nice touch. My boyfriend and I ordered the duck confit (best of my life and my mouth is watering just thinking about it) and... More
