Great roast meats and noodle soups

Very busy during the peak lunch and dinner times both with their restaurant guests and people queuing (out the door some times) for take away; in my book a sign that they must be doing some thing right, or at the very least not as bad as the others... That being said, service can be rough and... read more

We ventured in not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. It was the height of lunch and the place was packed with locals...good sign. My knowledge of Chinese food is limited but I was able to order and enjoyed the lunch. I'm sure thee were more suitable options if I made more effort to inquire. The service was... More

One of the best Canard lakee I eat in France, not like in Beijing... But very tasty. Also the Ravioli soup ... The portion are big enough and excellent prices. Very good and prompt service. After a walk in the Chinese quarter in this days the hot meLs and atmosphere of the Imperial de Choisy are welcome. Lot of Chinese... More

visiting paris from Vancouver with the family this September I had read the reviews and recommendations of this restaurant and wanted to try some "authentic" Chinese in the city of lights. I took the metro with the wife and 11 year old twins to this eatery and had high expectations going in. We were seated downstairs and asked for menus.... More

I lived in Paris for 32 years, and I been at this restaurant since 1996. Minimum two times a week (family, friends, even business lunch). I bring friends, who bring friends, ... I knew 2 differences families owning this place, all of then very nice. For the food, I will say authentic !! My order : poitrine de porc laquée,... More

Good food. Go for the caramelised porc with the plain crispy noodles. The poulet with ginger sauce and the poulet curry is not band. We went there twice and we're not dissapointed.

We have always enjoyed the chinese food here, stuffing ourselves silly, trying different dishes and surprising ourselves in the process. Though tables are cramped side-by-side ever so imposingly, we didn't mind that at all. Travelling from the louvre area, it took us about 20 mins by metro and a 5 min walk to the restaurant.

Came to this place for dinner after recommended by a friend. The nearest metro to the restaurant is Porte de Choisy. Not really authentic Chinese food but it is decent enough. The better ones in the area. However, service is rather poor. Unhappy staff with poor attitude. Expect to queue during peak hours. Not child friendly; no place for stroller... More

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
