Very friendly service and good food

Exceptionally friendly Parisian restaurant offering a choice of several good value set menus. Don’t miss the baked Alaska (omlette norvegienne) which is really spectacular. Definitely recommended but you will need to book as it's quite small and gets busy.

Visited early in the evening after reading how busy the place gets - we arrived around six and half the tables were reserved, filled up by half eight. Friendly staff - happy to translate the dishes into english for us as we could only pick out a few words we recognised! Really well priced three course menu and delicious food.

I hadn't been to Paris for many years but was staying overnight before travelling on from Gare de Lyon. I looked on trip advisor for some restaurant recommendations and phoned immediately to make a reservation. I am so glad I did. It is a very small place, but what it lacks in size, it makes up in taste, service and... More

Farewell to Paris meal. Thanks Trip Advisor, great selection. Great food, wine and service. 8 of us at the meal, evenly split between the €26 and €29 menus. Great value, everyone was more than happy with all 3 courses. When we left at 11pm, there were still people outside waiting for tables. Definitely well worth a visit.

We used trip advisor to chose this place, book a table and find it and it was worth it. Good food, very friendly staff and nice quirky decor gave a good atmosphere.

My fiancée and I arrived into Paris mid afternoon from Australia and checked into a hotel near Gare de Lyon for a train ride early the next morning. After seeing some of the reviews here we decided to walk past L'Aubergeade late afternoon to try to secure a table. We were in luck and that luck continued throughout the night.... More

We made reservations mid afternoon and consider ourselves lucky to have done so. The restaurant was packed, mostly with locals clearly on return visits. The two waiters (father and son?) deftly handled the entire dining room. There was never any undue waiting. It's a small but friendly room with interesting paraphernalia used for decor. Quite interesting. The menu was only... More

We made a reservation and pleased that we did as the restaurant was packed. The food was well presented and good quality. Lots of meat and fish. The 3 course menu was good value at 29 euro. The Brie was delicious. Lots of locals who knew the staff, so were likely to be regulars. Would recommend.
