Special Place -- Among the Best in Gastronomic Category in Paris

One of my favorite higher end restaurants in Paris--but and incredible value in this category. The food, ambiance, service and wine are exceptional. The best meal I have ever had, bar none and the first Michelin star awarded to a Japanese Chef/Owner is quite obviously well deserved. And while each meal is a unique selection from a variety of chef specialties made for the handful of tables that eat dinner at Hiramatsu each night - I can honestly say I will never forget... More

Meticulous service in a formal but modern dinning room. High Level cooking, although we did not find it to be exceptional or highly original [we heard that the 9 course "Surprise Menu" - which we did not have - could be more satisfying]. Overall: Refined fine dining. Recommended.

Went with my sister And it was great, when you hear that the chef design its own plates (porcelain) to match his dishes; something must be right

We had an eight course dinner that was absolutely phenomenal. Attentive service in a quiet atmosphere. Definitely one of the best dinners I ever had in my life. One of the top nouvelle cuisine restaurants in Paris. I had dinner with a friend but I would recommend it for couples.

A beautiful serene pure and relaxing restaurant, where the French ingredients where brought to perfection by the Japanese Chef Hiramatsu. From the beginning until the end, food was creative, piece of art and exquisite taste and aroma. What a place to go, excellent if not perfect.

The restaurant is really close to where I stay, and I decided to take the opportunity and book for lunch with my kids. We really enjoyed the meal, the service and the ambience of the restaurant. We were very delighted to be able to meet with the chef in person. What a wonderful dining experience for us.

Definitely a very good address for the amateurs of grande cuisine. The service is good, polite and discrete. Wines list is impressive with a special attention to the various Champagne served there, bravo. The food is delicate, very well presented in nice china, and the portions are correct. Pricing is reasonnable for a dinner in such a place in Paris.... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
