Pricey rooftop meal

I had lunch at Georges with my wife on a Friday afternoon in May. The rooftop atmosphere is great and has plenty of seating. Albeit a bit cold when we were there, the outdoor heaters at each table helped a bit. The staff here are all good looking and the meal choices are all over priced. The... read more

The only thing mediocre about this restaurant is the food. Everything else- service, decor, people watching, views - is spectacular. Pricey but definitely not to be missed.

Great Paris roof views day and night but stellar after dark. Do go for drinks and a late meal after touring the Beaubourg. Don't expect intimate dining unless you're in a pod without a view. Do enjoy the glam setting and service with altitude but often attitude. Don't go on a budget or expect a traditional museum restaurant. Do enjoy... More

We just did not fit in, I have never felt out of place before in my life in any restaurant or bar in the world, however posh, on trend or local a place has been - this was a first! We did not come expecting Michelin star food or cheap drinks, but came for the experience, however this was an... More

Been here for a couple of times now, and am still surprised by the views and location. Good foor with some modern twists, fancy and good staff.

I went against my better judgement after I had read the other reviews. The food was fine, but the restaurant employees were not. First, they sat us at a terrible table. We asked to move to one of the many open tables at the window and they would not let us. Oh, and we did have a reservation we had... More

The view from this restaurant is amazing, especially after dark. Add to this the great food and you have a night to remember. Everything I ate and drank at this restaurant was exquisite. It's defenitely worth it to go again.

The restaurant enjoys superb views across Paris, which are particularly good in the evening when the Eiffel Tower is lit. The restaurant itself is very contemporary with a modern feel. The food was good with a reasonable and varied menu. Of all the restaurants we visited this was probably the most expensive but as per my earlier comment it's in... More

You cannot beat the view from the top of the Georges Pompidou for a great dinner. Le Georges has turned more Supper Club lately and there is a DJ spinning tracks all night accompanying the food. The waitresses are all if not former, actual models but do a fantastic job. They are obviously dressed as if on a night out... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
