Great steaks. Awesome neighborhood, service is good, but the wait can be long. Good things come to those who wait. Try the fried corn doughnuts as a good side to an excellent piece of steak.

We were hungry for a good steak after 3 weeks in Paris. We remembered this restaurant from a previous trip and decided it was just what we needed. Once again we were not disappointed. The service is friendly and efficient. The ribeye steak was succulent and the patagonian lamb was tender and delicate in flavor. Try an authentic Pisco sour... More

We’ve been to Palenque several times over the past few years, the food has always been very good and the service acceptable. We were looking forward to our return visit (2 people, a reasonably busy Wednesday evening in December) but oh boy something has gone catastrophically wrong. So the food was still good, but the service was just appalling. From... More

El Palenque was researched ahead of time, as our friends we were taking out suggested they wanted a good American steak. Not finding such a restaurant in Paris (yet), I found this place and we decided to try it. Our first course, three of us had avocado-tomato salad with a slightly spicy cilantro sauce, and the other person had a... More

The meat comes from Argentina: amazing taste and tenderness. Try the corn pastilla, sausage and dulce de leche. Great place for a tasty and informal dinner among friends.

The steak was all right, but the atmosphere was not. The servant did their best but the owner didn't make his guests feel welcome. A restaurant which has had succes too long All in all not recommendable.

My partner wanted a steak for his birthday and the typical mediocre quality beef smothered in sauce with chips better known as steak frites wasn't going to cut it. We found this restaurant and it lived up to expectations. We were able to book a table about an hour before we wanted to eat. We arrived at this very small... More

We were craving a good steak and had noticed this restaurant when walking in the area a few weeks ago. We weren't disappointed - I had the bife de chorizo and my husband had the lomo - both were cooked perfectly and nearly melted in your mouth. We also had empanadas de queso (the type I like - not too... More
