It was our last night in Paris and our party of six from Los Angeles was looking for a knock your socks off French dining experience. One of the couples had received a recommendation from a restaurateur in LA to dine at Drouant. The food was good, but didn't deliver the "Wow Factor:" we were hoping to experience. I've had... More

We ate here recently on a visit to Paris and while when booking the reservation I had noted we were celebrating the birthday of my husband and daughter, no mention was made at the restaurant. The food was ok, but nothing exceptional. The menu is very limited. The entrees are not toooverpriced, but the salads and soups are very expensive. My... More

Nestled, as it is, on a small street in the Paris Opera district, this little gem of a restaurant is definitely worth going out of your way for. A lovely outside space which is away from the traffic and bustle of the nearby busy streets, combined with s great menu of well-cooked French classics made this a stop worth making.

Food is great, restaurant is nice. A bit expensive for what you get. Some of the staff is nice, but the "manager", although seeming nice in front of us, thought that we didn't understand French so he mocked us, together with other server, for the fact that we were sharing our appetizer and the dessert. I was ready to leave... More

This is a perfect example of Parisian classy restaurant: expensive, but totally worth it. We had a salad and the signature 4-hors d'oeuvres as starters and then the cod and homard roti as mains and we loved them. Top class wine suggested by a professional sommelier. The only comment is regarding the junior waitress who should not have been let... More

Walking past and decided to give it a try (had seen some reviews before). Lovely summer evening to eat on the terrace. Shared starters and desserts were good value and nice option to try a number of things. Steak and veal were generous portions. All food was tasty and good quality. Wine waiter was very helpful and we we were... More

we went here for our last night in Paris. It was definitely worth it. We met up with friends who recommended we go, so we joined them. it was for my birthday, and they even gave me a little birthday cake with a candle. For a michelin starred restaurant, the prices were very good. You got a lot of value.... More

A warm greeting was appreciated at Drouant. Great service and some traditional French food with a broad wine list. I can recommend the Drouant Bouliabaisse. Good food, inexpensive and with happy and friendly staff, given the chance, we will eat here again.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
