If you are a big fan of modern literature then this place might have an extra appeal for you as it is where Prix Goncourt committee is meeting annually to award one of the most famous French book awards. food wise, it used to be very, extremely, traditional but following a substantial refurbishment and the arrival of new chef it... Charming restaurant with a nice private room on the second floor. We started with the most perfectly singed foie gras that was served with apricots and a small salad. Delectable! The main course was a large portion of tuna with a cabbage roll - Didn't quite impress. The panna cotta with strawberries was a good end to the meal. The... More

We ate at Drouant on our fifth night in Paris. After hitting some great bistrot and brasseries, this was definitely more of an haute cuisine experience, and we really enjoyed it. The appetizer tasting option (4-small plates all in one theme (vegetables, fish, classics, etc) was actually the highlight. 4 great tastes in one course -- it is a great... More

Very nice for our last evening in Paris. Very comfortable, pleasant atmosphere. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. We had stayed at the Horset Hotel and Drouant is just down the street. Quite a pleasant surprise.

Went in here on a quiet weeknight with 6 people while looking for somewhere to eat near Opera. Apparently they were full so they put us in a room on our own upstairs which was fine if a little devoid of atmosphere. The starters and desserts were a real novelty, with four mini-portions each of something from a different part... More

Enjoyed family dinner for seven at Drouant. Beautiful room in a lovely square. Can sense the history in the place. Excellent 15Euro children's menu was a great start. Most enjoyed their dishes. Creative appetizer of four small dishes was tasty. Fresh salads. John Dory was big hit, and pepper-crusted filet was enjoyed. Impressive wine list. Major criticism was service. Waiters... More

My wife and I read through the menu extensively, thinking of ways to creatively order multiple entries or maybe the entrée then main plat share them. In the end neither of us would give up on the John Dory and we were very happy that we did not. We both started with appetizers, which we shared. But the main course... More

This restaurant was recommended by my hotel. I shared the John Dory with my travel mate. It was absolutely to die for and one of the best meals I've had in my lifetime. Scrumptious.
