This restaurant was recommended by my hotel. I shared the John Dory with my travel mate. It was absolutely to die for and one of the best meals I've had in my lifetime. Scrumptious.

We were part of a group and everyone loved their meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing. It was what the French are noted for - fine food and wine.

Finding a great place to eat on Sunday evening in Paris can be a challenge. Drouant is a great find. The service is attentive but not overbearing. The food is very good and the "flights" of 4 appetizers means you can try more things. The fresh strawberries are amazing if you are there in season. This was my second time... More

I have eaten at this restaurant perhaps 5-6 times in the past 20 years and it always is excellent in both service and food. The menu has now been extended and is more complex in that you can try small plates of their appetizers and entrees in sets of 4 which is great if you want to share with a... More

Enjoyed an excellent lunch in this long established restaurant in the heart of Paris. We all had the set lunch and the quality was excellent. My desert was the highlight - an excellent apricot tart with pistachio ice cream n- French patisserie at its best.

We went to Drouant on a Saturday evening on the recommendation of a friend for its good food and engaging service. True to this reputation, service was friendly with the right amount of attention. Also impressive was the wine list: a wide selection of solid and good bottles depending on how lavish one wants to be. We loved the three... More

The restaurant gets five stars for service; the meal was pleasant but not memorable. The lamb confit was creative and good. The roasted langostino dish was over-cooked and over seasoned and thus the seafood was over-whelmed! The tasting menu desserts were interesting but a bit flat on flavor. It was an expensive evening for less than stellar meal.

Chef Joho was kind enough to include this stellar restaurant in his list of recommendations when we visited Paris. It is the ultimate in sophisticated dining! The wait staff was very attentive and very patient as we attempted to speak French. We indulged in foie gras and all the traditional fare of Paris. It was more expensive than the average... More

I had eaten here years ago with my son and remembered that it was excellent. So this year, traveling with a friend, I searched it out, knowing it was near the Opera. This time, it offered an unusual format of four small tasting plates for each of the main categories. Being a light eater, I opted for the 4-plate entree... More
