Finally a meal without our kids in tow...did not disappoint. Menu was completely in French but waitstaff was very pleasant and translated items that we were unfamiliar with. Delicious food and loved sitting on their private patio.

WE eat dinner and enjoyed the food - only complaint was on the red mullet which has had similar complaints on trip advisor so best to avoid. Quality was great - the tasting plates for entrees and desserts are great. Service was efficient but the attitude of the waitress was awful - she was cold and unhelpful.

I really can't say anything specifically bad about this restaurant..... but I was just unimpressed. The food was good but really nothing special. My daughter had a very complicated appetizer that was just so-so. The service was fine, not spectacular, not especially friendly, just "eh." My sea scallops were fine, but indistinguishable from any other scallop dish anywhere. I feel... More

We enjoyed a great family dinner at Drouant, but I did not exactly fall in love with the place. I wanted my taste buds to be blown away, and they were only mildly entertained. Service was wonderful and staff friendly and helpful, even if a sommelier that does not smell a faint cork in a 2006 Puy Lacoste doesn't exactly... More

We left the hotel for a New Years Eve dinner, with no reservation, and the first restaurant we found was Drouant, half a block away. Even without reservation, we received a table on the spot. Second good surprise was that we could choose anything from the menu, not the New Year full menu. The service was very good and friendly,... More

I agree pretty much with the previous don't bother review. My only exception might be the service which, though a bit odd, was friendly and efficient. The food on the other hand was highly mediocre. My dining companion had Rouget which I believe are red mullet in English. They came with no sauce and were terribly over cooked and dry.... More

Do not bother dining at this restaurant. Food was average at best and too costly for the lack of quality. The staff was not friendly and made us feel uncomfortable during the entire evening. The table we were seated at was in the corridor constantly occupied by the wait staff with a noise level that was unacceptable, even tough the... More

I generally don't like restaurants with table cloths. This was a little formal for my taste, but the food was out of this world. I had the goose which was expensive(40 euros), but tasted like nothing I have ever had in the States. The menu is a bit overwhelming at first, but the waiters speak English, and take the time... My family, my business partners and I love Drouant, and have lunch there at least twice every week. Classic cuisine bourgeoise (Ris de Veau, Bouchée à la Reine, Parmentier, Poulet frites) is magnified: straightforward taste, cooked and grilled to perfection, simple and flawless. Service is the best France can offer: simple, gentle and cheerful. Prices are sensible, especially at lunch.... More

We travel to Paris often and this was the worst experience we have ever had. After several weeks in France we booked here for a 60th birthday celebration. Despite promises, they forgot to acknowledge the birthday. They were rude beyond explanation. The first item we ordered they said they no longer could serve. We asked about at item at the... More
