Best Meal in Paris

We ate here our last night in Paris and saved the best for last. We looked up a few places that were booked but they allowed us to walk in off the street at 7:00 pm. This was the one time eating early was a benefit. The only thing was we had to be out by 8:45 for a reservation.... read more

Chez Toinette is an absolutely amazing restaurant, Pedro greeted us with a warm welcome and was the perfect host! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is located right in the heart of Montmartre, just near the Moulin Rouge. The service and staff were great. The food is incredible, great quality and full of flavour, an authentic french dining experience... More

I was recommended this bistro by a friend. I am glad I took her advice what a place. Such flavours such taste. A totally unpretentious authentic bistro serving the best food and wine. The owner / waiter commanded the whole restaurant on his own. C'est fantastic. I recommend every one eats here!!

It was quite a surprise to discover such a good place in a very touristic area. The food was delicious and the waiter very professional and friendly. Would surely recommend the moules we've had as entrees of the day and the mythical souris d'agneau.

I am not sure why I have waited so long to write a review for this place but it is certainly deserving of one, this restaurant is absolutely amazing! I took my girlfriend here as we read it was nice and we ended up spending three nights of our four night stay in this restaurant. It is a little cramp,... More

Friendly host and every dish was done to perfection. The duck was tender and my steak was done to my liking. Servings were generous and we wished we had more stomach space for more dessert!

We dined here on the recommendation of a friend and so glad we did. Pedro greeted us at the door and led us to a table. He was our server and one of the friendliest people we met in all of Paris. The service was excellent and the food was tremendous! Its an intimate setting, in fact had we not... More

Very charming place in the middle of Montmartre. Rather touristy but very good food. The duck is amazing.

On my last night of a too short one week stay in Paris I wanted a dinner that was memorable. Chez Toinette exceeded my expectations in every way. The host is charming and really cares about the satisfaction of the diners. I had the Salmon with Parmesan sauce. The host offered to provide more sauce which I accepted. (It was... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
