We tried based on a friends rec but had 2nd thoughts after a few of the reviews. I thought the meat was good, not great. We shared the beef for 2 and it was just ok. The meat is not that flavorful so required salt or mustard. Quaint ambience and decent value for money. Service was friendly but not that... More

Appetizers were mediocre, entrecote was tasteless and chewy. Appetizers delivered to table within 5 miNutes of ordering and entrees within another 5 minutes. Gave up after three bites/chews, paid the 60 euros and walked out. Found a nice bar in a square towards rue de rivoli had appetizers an deserts which were wonderful. Robert et Louis looks nice from outside... More

My boyfriend and I walked in last night for dinner and were so happy to be able to get a seat. We were seated in a communal table on the first floor which was great! We ordered blood sausage, lamb shank and ribeye. All cooked perfectly. We were sad we were too full to finish all of it! Will definitely... More

The place is very cosy, loved the fireplace and the open kitchen where you can see how they cook the meat. I had the most delicious entrecote there and it was worth all the waiting. The service is nice but busy but in this ambience it was not even annoying. I enjoyed every minute I spent in this restaurant, highly... More

This rustic restaurant has an open wood fireplace where most of the meat dishes are cooked. The space is small but charming and comfortable. The vaulted stone cellar seating is cleverly laid out. We had the boudan noir sausage appetizer and veal kidney entree which is as good as we've had anywhere. They understand meat and potatoes and prepare them... More

We are forever indebted to a negative review by an American traveller, who visited the restaurant and complained about the scruffy, rustic décor, having to share a long, heavy wooden table with other diners and their method of cooking of meat in an old open fireplace "right in your face". We imminently knew that this was the place for us... More

I have an apartment in the Marais that I visit a few times a year for two weeks at a time. I have been wanting to dine at this restaurant for quite a while. The owner was very nice and greeted us upon our arrival, but the fellow at the bar was much less pleasant. I asked to be seated... More

Found this place to be just wonderful. I had the t bone and my Cherie had a delicious omelet. We ate downstairs since upstairs was a bit hot with all that steak cooking on an open pit. Great service from Able added to our delight. Went back again later in our trip and unfortunately it was closed for vacation.

Excellent selection of wine and food which is served in a cosy interior place with its fireplace. It's like you are eating in the kitchen and you can see everything behind the kitchen - 10/10 hygiene. Tables at the entrance floor are usually reserved, so make sure to have a booking before you go - or the manager will seat... More
