This rustic restaurant has an open wood fireplace where most of the meat dishes are cooked. The space is small but charming and comfortable. The vaulted stone cellar seating is cleverly laid out. We had the boudan noir sausage appetizer and veal kidney entree which is as good as we've had anywhere. They understand meat and potatoes and prepare them... More

We are forever indebted to a negative review by an American traveller, who visited the restaurant and complained about the scruffy, rustic décor, having to share a long, heavy wooden table with other diners and their method of cooking of meat in an old open fireplace "right in your face". We imminently knew that this was the place for us... More

I have an apartment in the Marais that I visit a few times a year for two weeks at a time. I have been wanting to dine at this restaurant for quite a while. The owner was very nice and greeted us upon our arrival, but the fellow at the bar was much less pleasant. I asked to be seated... More

Found this place to be just wonderful. I had the t bone and my Cherie had a delicious omelet. We ate downstairs since upstairs was a bit hot with all that steak cooking on an open pit. Great service from Able added to our delight. Went back again later in our trip and unfortunately it was closed for vacation.

Excellent selection of wine and food which is served in a cosy interior place with its fireplace. It's like you are eating in the kitchen and you can see everything behind the kitchen - 10/10 hygiene. Tables at the entrance floor are usually reserved, so make sure to have a booking before you go - or the manager will seat... More

If one thing Paris is not short on, it's great places to eat. But where do you go when you want to feel like you're at home among strangers? Robert et Louise. I first heard of this place at a bbq (in new york) where a friend heard that i was leaving for paris in a week and said "there's... More

Set in the delightful Marais, Robert and Louise is the place to go if you are hankering for a steak. It is housed in an ancient building with original beams and low ceilings. In the back is a brick woodburning grill with a cast iron slab across the grill. Although there are other items on the menu, we all opted... More

This was my second visit and just as I remembered, excellent. Great atmosphere, great service, great value and of course. If your looking for a formal steak house, this is not for you. But if your looking for an amazing dinning experience go!

Perfectly cooked steak that was nice and tender. However, they didn't season the damn thing. I don't even think I tasted salt or pepper on it. The side of potatoes and green beans was good, but this would have been an excellent meal if the meat was just seasoned. Also had the best wine I had in Paris.
