Back after several years

We stumbled on this place in 2009 (I think), purely by accident and had one of the best meals I'd ever had, took a pic of the restaurant, but all it said out front was "Restaurant". Now 2015 and while back in Paris I did a bit of Google Street Viewing and found it again. We walked in last nit... read more

Happened upon this place by accident.A truly sensational dining experience! Sitting watching the scrumptious food being prepared and cooked over the open fire was such a treat ..only surpassed by the eating of it! A truly wonderful Parisian experience and incredibly reasonably priced .do yourself a favour and don't miss it .Make sure you book...and sit down near the fire... More

Tonight we dined at Chez Robert et Louise which was highly recommended by Anthony Bourdain. We were seated at a table for two at the main picture window that looked out onto the street. To our rear was the main bar and a fire pit that was used to roast the kitchen meats. These seats were the best in the... More

Ancient, family owned, cozy restaurant where the steaks are delicious. Definitely a place to go every time that I visit Paris. You can feel the wonderful atmosphere wherever you sit in the restaurant.

I enjoyed a great dinner at this small and friendly restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and the food is simply great. If you're looking for great meat this is the right spot to go.

I would have never known or second glanced this restaurant if I were not with someone who has previously been to it, but I'm so grateful we stopped! The food and atmosphere are absolutely fantastic, and the place made me change my opinion on foie gras, which is quite a big deal.

Located in the Marais, here the steaks rules the menu and they are great, cooked over a chargrilled fire , great quality and fairly priced. I highly recommend this little gem with friends.

My girlfriend and I found this place by complete chance as we wandered around the Marais looking for somewhere to eat. It was our last night in Paris and we wanted somewhere special. We were very lucky to get a seat as it was very popular. The business gave it a great atmosphere and we got two seats at the... More

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Next time I must make reservations for dinner. Delicious real French Food that makes you feel like a local. Tucked away on a side street this is a must find. I myself will find it every time I visit. Delicious!

We sat down in the cellar at a community table. We ordered the steak, tiger prawns, and cheese course. The steak was by far my favorite- very well cooked and delicious. I saw upstairs that they cook the meat on an open fireplace so it makes the whole place small delicious and makes the meat perfect.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
