The reviewers who raved about the steak must have never had a really great steak. Bless their hearts they should come to Texas! Bread was stale. Steak was tough. Potatoes were good. Didn't stay for dessert although I have rarely met a chocolate cake I didn't like so that would have probably been fine. Waitstaff disinterested. All in all a... More

you simply must visit this place if you are in Paris. A great steak with a lovely wine selection all for a very fair price. Really was one of the highlights of my trip.

Okay, usually not so much. But here the mission is all about meat cooked on the hot grill, and the meat is to die for. (Sorry animals). But the steak melts in your mouth and I am still craving more of the lamb chops. And sitting at the big table and meeting new people is always fun.

On the main Marais road but you couldn't be further from the tourists once you step inside. we had a really top meal here. the starters were all excellent - boudin noir.. ten out of ten, pate and serrano ham. super. we shared a beef rib between 2 and had an entrecote steak. perfectly cooked with that flame flavour from... We had the entrecote (great) and sat downstairs at a shared table. For us not a problem, we actually liked it! Friendly hard working staff. Really don't understand some of the negative comments here. We had a really nice time, great food and nice wine.

Robert et Louise is a small yet super charming resto in the heart of Marais in Paris. The service was great and the food delicious, overall a great experience. Definitely a place for the meat lover in you. No matter where you sit in the restaurant, you'll catch a glimpse of the busy kitchen and the open pit where all... More

We had a reservation and were sat downstairs. The food was good but I've never had bad food in Paris so I can't say it was better than any other places that I've been. As far as grilled meat is concern, it's definitely delicious, but don't expect the meat to come heavily seasoned. The fireplace cooking looks fantastic but we... More

I have visited the restaurant on three different occasions. The first two times I said at the bar. Each time I was serviced by the owner. A delightful experience. On the other occasion I attended the restaurant with multiple friends and sat in the main dining room near the fireplace. A quaint experience. The food and the steaks especially-were wonderful.

Robert and Louise do what they do really well: meats cooked on an open hearth at the end of the ground floor space, and garnished with stuff from the adjacent micro kitchen. I had a seat by the door at the bar, looking at the restaurant and the workings of the kitchen, which was great. I started with goose rillette,... More

We came across this place by chance but were well pleased with our find. They specialise in meat cooked on an open fire. Try the house wine - we had an excellent Bordeaux. Good, friendly service. Ask for a table downstairs if they are busy. Recommended.
