One of those little places you MUST find

I would have never known or second glanced this restaurant if I were not with someone who has previously been to it, but I'm so grateful we stopped! The food and atmosphere are absolutely fantastic, and the place made me change my opinion on foie gras, which is quite a big deal.

Located in the Marais, here the steaks rules the menu and they are great, cooked over a chargrilled fire , great quality and fairly priced. I highly recommend this little gem with friends.

My girlfriend and I found this place by complete chance as we wandered around the Marais looking for somewhere to eat. It was our last night in Paris and we wanted somewhere special. We were very lucky to get a seat as it was very popular. The business gave it a great atmosphere and we got two seats at the... More

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Next time I must make reservations for dinner. Delicious real French Food that makes you feel like a local. Tucked away on a side street this is a must find. I myself will find it every time I visit. Delicious!

We sat down in the cellar at a community table. We ordered the steak, tiger prawns, and cheese course. The steak was by far my favorite- very well cooked and delicious. I saw upstairs that they cook the meat on an open fireplace so it makes the whole place small delicious and makes the meat perfect.

Tonight we have been there. The place is traditional and cozy. Meat, cheese and wine are excellent. The staff is always friendly and courteous. We suggest this place and we'll comeback

A small, cozy restaurant in a lovely part of Paris. We sat downstairs and we had to share a table with two other people we didn't know; however, it was still very comfortable with every person minding their own business. The food was very very good! Menu is a bit limited and they couldn't provide us with ice to put... More

Loved the lamb, can't get the craving out of my mouth. Beef was also awesome! Loved the potatoes, would have liked more of them! Definitely a place I would visit whenever I drop by Paris. Service was also great! Reservations should be made, because the place gets packed really fast. :) Otherwise, come at 7pm for dinner. :)

We walked into the restaurant and were wowed by the atmosphere & service instantly. The theatric of having your meat cooked on an open wood fire oven in front of you really gets you excited for your meal!! We ordered the escargot and black sausage to start which was delicious. For mains we shared the côte de boeuf which was... More

Am I ever glad that my wife agreed to have a carnivore's lunch. We began with assiette de charcuterie and the cruditiés de saison ... and then the entrecote a point for my wife and the côtes d'agneau grillées saignant for me ... with frites and vegetables for both. We could watch our meat being cooked over the wood-burning grill.... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
