Excellent food with very friendly service

Had a lovely evening here recently. Thursday evening and it was full. Food lovely and portions generous. Couldnt manage a pudding but my husband had millefeuille. After a spoonful i regretted not ordering it as it was delicious.

Excellent traditional French menu for lunch, well patronised by locals. We had two courses with a demi litre of red Bordeaux plus coffee. Good size servings, polite service, warm and cosy in winter. I would go back on a future trip.

Traditional French, very quaint restaurant with a lot of character and history. Booking essential. Was chosen restaurant by local Parisian for business meal.

This unasumming bistro was very busy with locals and some tourists. And i am not surprised, the food is simple but absolutly delicious. Staff were very busy but service was still great. Menu was very good value for money, atmosphere was warm, welcoming and authentic french.

Chez Nénesse is in my neighborhood and I heard it was one of the best restaurant around so I tried it twice with friends. Service is very friendly, it's a family business and they are all very committed to let you have a good food experience. In terms of quality, I recommend you to order only specialties from Lyon region... More

If you are looking for genuine French food, well cooked, real food. No more no less then I would reccomend Nenesse. Service natural and very good, wine list not so extensive but good. We would definately reccomend the fish that we ate. Faboulous. Finished with home made sorbet and coffee. Unfortunately it was to hot to have starter an cheese.

This is probably my favourite restaurant in Paris, it serves dishes from traditional French cuisine. There is a limited selection which changes according to the season but everything I ever had here is delicious. The selection of wine to accompany the food is excellent. It's family owned and run, service is good and friendly and the ambience... well just imagine... More

The restaurant staff were accommodating and friendly. We were a little late for our reservation, but they assured us it was no problem. The ambiance is welcoming; the fricasse poulet with morels was extraordinary. They even let us continue our conversation, though it was past closing.

Having stayed at the hotel just in front for several times I've always wondered on visiting this original looking bistrot...and wish no I never had. Friendly owner, packed of people, cheap but the food.... Over cooked pork fillet, not in time but in times, at least three or four, so dry inside and chewy. Unedible fish quenelles, stupid starters, I... More

Went there based on a friend's recommendation. Both mine and my girl friend main dishes were blend and not very tasty. the onion soup both of us ordered was horrible. the chocolate mouse we had for desert was nothing out of the ordinary. The staff were very nice an one of them spoke very good english. If you go there... More

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
