It's at Saint Michel - Place Saint André des Arts - that Chez Clément has recently decided to inaugurate the new Café-Rôtisseur concept. With its strong character, Chez Clément has thus established itself as the traditional French Parisian Café-Rôtisseur thus responding to all consumer needs, tastes and desires... including quality, generosity, and transparency, which have been part of our customers' demands for several decades now. Chez Clément is also strengthening its positioning as a specialist in roast poultry... thus offering a Label Rouge free range chicken from the Auvergne, spit roasted in front of your eyes to be eaten on the spot or now to take away.

Decent near tourist area.

This was a good restaurant, near a tourist area. The food was hot and fast, the atmosphere was nice, sidewalk dining allowed for great people watching. The restaurant does have wifi and the prices for spirits were average. To be near a tourist area it was nice food.

What a mediocre, colossal disappointment this place was. The food was hit or miss, but the service was atrocious. Our server could not be bothered to answer our very simple questions about the menu or anything else. Each simple question was met with an irritating look of bewilderment and bemusement-- and it was not simply a "language barrier" issue. Very... More

First evening in Paris. Quite bad restaurants in this area, unless you go over to Saint-Germain. Service and experience were great. Very liberal with the seasoning, and not something I would have too often, but it was nice and tasty

One would think that being close to a major tourist attraction, in Paris, would be cause for alarm. Not so, with Chez Clement Rotisseur - Saint Michel. Established in 1884, this large restaurant knows how to please. The service is friendly and the food is very good and reasonably priced. My tartare de boeuf came with extra virgin olive oil,... We stopped by for dinner one night and it was very enjoyable. We were seated right away, and a few minutes later the waitress arrived, and she was so very nice and helpful. My husband was sitting on a stool, they brought him a chair, because they said he looked uncomfortable (you can see that in the picture). The chicken,... More

Aside from a impeccable service, we had the best meal in this season in Paris! This "Special Bourbonnais free-range Chicken" is amazing! Strongly recommend to close this perfect meal with Clément Crème Brûlée! Bon Appétit!

We have a nice tipycal french breakfast in the terrace bathed by a nice July sun. The croissant was as good as you can expect it to be and the coffee nicely brewed. It is very close to the busy area but in a quiet spot. Surely is great for lunch and dinner.

Although it has been a few years since our last visit to Chez Clement, we had such fond memories. The restaurant located yards from the monument to St Michel was once a St Germain staple for romantic couple and young friends. The food was once fresh, and if not original, at least, fresh and well prepared. Now it is as... More

Right in the hustle and bustle of Paris's vibrant Latin Quarter, the Chez Clement is a great spot to watch the world go by for a little while and enjoy some competently prepared, tasty bistro cuisine. We visited more than once on our last trip to Paris, but I'll give special mention to a dish I did especially enjoy which... More

It may be touristy but the food and service are good. Excellent choice of traditional French dishes.

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
