Great Sunday brunch

Found this place in Time Out. We came on a Sunday and got what seemed like the last table. The cold buffet is very good, the hot food was good, service was a bit slow but all in all really enjoyed the food at this trendy Parisian place. 3 min walk away from Gare du Nord yet not touristic.

This is a wonderful place. The food is gorgeous, well prepared and most importantly tasty. The very best of French cuisine come out of the kitchen at Chez Casimir. I came her some years ago and had booked a nearby hotel this time for a 3 days stay. We ate at Chez Casimir every day (lunch and dinner) and did... More

We found the restaurant by some foodie blogs. The place is fairly close to Paris Nord. It was €32/4courses. We enjoyed every single course. It was very classico, tasty but not to heavy. Food was all seasoned very well. Staff were friendly and speak very good English. Highly recommended.

I am a foodie, traveling a lot, speaking enough languages, regularly returning to Paris, and chez Casimir. Eating at both chez Michel and Chez Casimir frequently, I particularly value their week-end brunch formula - a wonderfully authentic array of country food, with Breton touches. But what I notice lately is a 'taken-for-granted' attitude towards many customers. My latest experience was... More

Lonely Planet mentioned this merely as Chez Michel's little brother with bistro fare. I do feel it needed a section of its own. It is true that it doesn't seem much to look at from the street, but it is totally worth the visit. Food was delicious (we had the chicken and salmon) and of good value for money. Delicious... More

We are long standing fans of Chez Michel, the near adjacent restaurant under common ownership. We also enjoyed our lunch at Chez Casimir and the scallops (Coquille St Jacques) were beautifully presented (attached). The soup was very generous - an enormous tureen was left for us to help ourselves, and similarly the cheeseboard.

This is probably the worst brunch of the century, so far. Chez Casimir is a hot spot for "bobos", the "bourgeois-bohème" parisians. Reservation is a must, lots of urban legends on how exceptionnal the place is. The seasnails (bulots) were full of sand, the cheese (vacherin) was already ended at 12.45 PM and was never replaced, only one type of... More

Super little restaurant yards from Gare de Nord, perfect for lunch before getting 4.13 Eurostar home. Good brasserie food, soups especially good, best to book as frequented by local business people.

So pleased we found this little restaurant. Ideally located so close to Gard du Nord and yet not a tourist in site! Fabulous French bistro food and the most exceptional cheese board. In fact I could just have had that! Will definitely be back...
