full french menu at night

Our hotel personal recommended this place for dinner. We tried and it was really a good choice. Great service, also in English. We tried the full french menu (starter/soup-main plate-chees board-dessert). The value was OK. Quality of food also good.

Second visit and still a delight. A small fantastically unfussy bistrot which could not be more different from the tourist restaurants in front of the station. Menus on hand written boards, uncomplicated food and fantastic value. Find me another place in Paris where they give you four courses for €32 (£25) and leave a huge cheese board on your table... Went there on a Sunday for brunch and was not disappointed at all! Everything is home made and super fresh. It was actually more a lunch than a brunch as there is a set menu with 2 buffets: savory and sweet. So worse the 28 euros! Definite recommend and would go again. That chocolate mousse....

Visited this restaurant on a warm, humid evening. Not a table to be had for love nor money outdoors, but empty inside. They serve a 4-course menu for 32euros which is really excellent value. We had carpaccio of haddock (very nice), I had a rascasse fillet (very good) and my friend a black Angus steak (which he said was excellent).... More

Get off the Eurostar, walk round the corner and tuck into a very tasty brunch washed down with good wine. The staff were very friendly and helpful as we were a bit clueless on how the Parisian brunch works (it really means buffet lunch if you've not encountered it before). Lots of delicious food and such a jolly and convivial... More

My husband and I have recently returned from a four night stay in Paris. We ate out for lunch and dinner every night, and I have to say that out meal at Chez Casimir was by far THE BEST!! We were greeted very warmly by the host and made to feel very welcome in this typical Parisian bistro. The menu... More

We went to this restaurant near Gare du Nord before heading back to London: you may have to wait a bit to order, menu is not very large but our dishes were succulent: foie gras and tomato salad as starters, lamb with vegetables, beef bavette and potatoes for main courses, along with a nice glass of Bordeaux. What a great... More

Cannot complain about sincere, honest service with bistro French food. totally worth the detour from other places near the station.

Food wise, it is quite nice place: nothing special but a large buffet with plenty of salads, paté and cheese, a separate one with various sweets and then few dishes served directly to the table (in our case, langoustine, scrambled egg, vegetable soup and owen baked quail) - all in, a very large brunch. No wine list but direct access... More

After eating at Georges at the Pompidou and Joel Robuchon's temple to haute cuisine, neither of those meals were as stirring as the prix fixe at Chez Casimir. For 32 euros you get a few choices which rotate daily. I went with veal tongue terrine, whole mackerel with braised cabbage, stewed prunes with creme fraiche and the obligatory assiette de... More
