Friendly Welcome to Tired Travelers

Our hotel concierge suggested Chez Andre as it was a short walk from where we were staying. What a pleasant surprise to find this happy bistro less than 2 blocks away. We were welcomed with virtually open arms by the owners as busy as they were. A glass of champagne followed by wonderful bistro... read more

This will absolutely become a go-to whenever I am in paris. The place is cozy and comfortable, and the food is delicious- very traditional french. My family and I loved the restaurant so much we went back twice! In those times, I tried the French Onion soup, the chicken dish (I don't remember the name), Chez Andre Gourmet Hamburger, Chocolate... More

Very local traditional bistro, try to make a reservation in advance because they are full from 8pm onward. Founded in 1932 this place survived the occupation and was also featured in Midnight in Paris. Within walking distance of the Champs Elysees, it is treat every time. More meat dishes than anything else, except we ran into the day they have... More

Without having a reservation for our first evening in Paris, we took the suggestion from the concierge at our hotel. Chez Andre. Sounded charming, but we were in for our single poor dining experience this visit. Every cliché complaint about Paris restaurants can be registered here, starting with a sarcastic maître d', to being seated in the back room where... More

Recommended by our hotel for our last night. Averagely priced but have eaten better. My wife's steak was a little tough and I would have preferred my pan fried scallops aliitle more cooked. Seating rather "cosy ". Seems to be favoured by some celebrities including Liam Neeson.

Our original intent was to visit the restaurant across from Chez Andre, but as they were closed, we decided to sit at Chez Andre just for a couple of drinks. However, once I reviewed the menu (in Francais, then in English - both are available), I decided to try the duck breast and frites (french fries). Oh my!!! It was... More

We visited Chez Andre on recommendation from the book Paris for Food Lovers. It lived up to our expectation of a cozy, old-fashioned gem. Our waitress spoke very little English and we spoke enough French to get by. She was so thrilled we were speaking French and tried to help us with our order. Between the three of us, we... More

Solid good french bistro near the Champs Elysee, great service, reasonably priced. Loved the foie gras, the duck and the isle flotant.

We went for dinner and the menu was very typical of other French restaurants. the food was average and the wait staff was not overly friendly or helpful. Outside dining is nice but not much different from hundreds of other Paris restaurants. I would not go out of my way to eat here.
